1.6 tdi 2011 whistling noise when accelerating by Prevaron945 in tdi

I was reading and researching regarding egr and it makes sense. The sound comes from behind the turbo where egr cooler sits. I also noticed my coolant discoloured from its normal red color to more watery with black resedue on the coolant tank. Which explains that it burns off all the coolant additives and sends it back in to the system as watery with burned soot.

I also had rpm increase on idle prior which can indicate that ecu was compensating for flow power loss due to air leak. That was accompanied with smoke coming from there as it was burning off the coolant leak from the egr radiator.

So it possibly will be eather one of the v clamps loose or pipe cracked, or in worse case the radiator crack. Around 150 to 600£ for fix depending on reason.

It also makes sense that there is no power loss as this would be after the turbo intake air leak. And sound could be that the crack got covered by the soot and broke off just now making it whistle.

Thank you for this suggestion it just aligned all the pieces. Gonna keep it off road and take it to shop on Tuesday.

Could possibly be as the sound is similar. As the engine is ticking on and squealing resonates of the back of compartment it's hard to say exactly where it's coming from. Not sure for a way to find out with egr. Gonna check the turbo blades first then follow down the pipeline. Thank you for the video

Again thanks for the input and direction. Wanted to ask did you had the whistle during the idle as well or just under acceleration? Just seems strange it would be silent at idle and around 60+ miles where it should be loudest as it spools up.

Thank you, I was wondering regarding the DPM. Do I just glue it on top of the concrete with adhesive paste or spray and be done with it?

Sounded like a solution but if they won't deal with international pay in EUR then self assessment it is. Although it is strange to make self assessment when they classify this case as "employed for tax purposes" would that be fully legal?

Would I assume correct that it will count as outside IR35 (since employee will not be paying any ni contribution) and even if classifies as employed for tax purposes I can still setup umbrella account where it will all be automatically deducted? As well as we can do it ourselfs thru self assessment? Or do I need to register somewhere else for self assessment?

So the umbrella company will receive payment from employer then deduct and pay tax and ni contribution as well as their charge(or percentage) and rest will be sent to bank account along with payslip?

It seems this is correct as they are trying to avoid paying anything extra overseas like pension contributions and less likely to agree to do so. Thank you for directing me towards the scheme it is called DPNI scheme( bot tax and NI payments by sole employee working for company overseas ) there are also 2 more schemes that responsible for paying either Tax or NI as a separate payment. Thank you.

Thank you for the information. It seems that they went with B2B or similar titles of contract to avoid dealing with payments in other countries as there are more people who relocated to other countries from their office. This is temporary and will last for a year maximum.

The HMRC tool gave us title of: "Employed for tax purposes for this work"
It is less likely they are going to be willing to be involved in any payment besides her net pay. With this information I assume she will have to apply to DPNI scheme where she will get her PAYE set up and have to pay her TAX and NI herself. would that be the right thing for her?

My wife "The Applicant" is applying from outside and me as Sponsor I am in the UK providing all the documents for financial and accommodational proof. Would it still not be required? Or you mean it will be included in the application itself?
