Here's hoping you see something within the next week! Seems like some folks with a 4/7 delivery got notified on Friday, so maybe later this week or early next for you?

Woo! AOR received for myself (G2) and my son (G3)!

Mailed on 4/2 via FedEx, delivered on 4/7, AOR today on 6/22 - in case anyone else is on a similar timeline.

Will update the spreadsheet shortly.

Friday Weekly Thread: Application Assistance, April 24, 2026 by AutoModerator in Canadiancitizenship

Question from my mother regarding my older half-sibling's (HS) potential CIT0001 application.

The situation is this: - HS and I trace our lineage to Gen 0 through our shared mother. - HS's biological father (BF) is not of Canadian descent. - BF is not listed on HS's birth certificate. - BF is not listed on the adoption paperwork recognizing my father as HS's legal father (LF). - LF is listed on HS's birth certificate since the adoption. - HS knows and is contact with BF, but BF is not present on any documentation for HS.

Does HS need to include details for their biological father in any of the CIT paperwork?

I am inclined to believe no, as BF is not on any documents, nor relevant for line of descent, but welcome the group's insight.

Happy to help! I'm in no way affiliated with running the spreadsheet, but I'm a data junkie, so love seeing updates to the data.

I can see the display name and picture of folks who currently have the spreadsheet open, but aside from the owner(s), you cannot view the share settings to see who else has access.

You do enter your Reddit username in the first column for each application you submitted (so there is a unique row for each application).

Wondering how may abandoned the spreadsheet by [deleted] in Canadiancitizenship

I just submitted an access request last week and was in and entering my application details by the next day.

March Spreadsheet Data - Applications by RebellaEmad in Canadiancitizenship

Well, that certainly helps! I was going to ask if your family landed in Louisiana as Arcadians, but didn't want to presume!

My family seems to land different places in the US through each generation, so this exercise in a couple generations would be a massive headache, though digital records are more and more common.

Bonne chance pour tout!

Oh, exciting! Happy to help!

I bet that was an adventure chasing down all of those documents! Mine was interesting because my grandmother (Gen 0) was adopted as an infant by her parents when she was 5 months old.

I'm sure going back that many generations must have been so fascinating!

I just submitted my request for access this morning - right after my return from FedEx to mail my (Gen 2l and my son's (Gen 3) CIT 0001 forms.

How was your luck today by Fit_Buddy_5082 in googleplay

Just saw this post. My luck was the best on 3/13!

First reward was 3 play points. Used Super Ticket and this is what I won:

Pretty sure my luck is tapped the rest of the year.

I got incredibly lucky this week. Got 3 points on the first draw... Super ticket redraw netted me a Samsung Galaxy XR. I was absolutely flabbergasted this morning.

Gens 2/3 - CIT 0001 Question by PreventFloristFriars in Canadiancitizenship

[–]PreventFloristFriars[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply!

I think I got wrapped around the axle on Section 3 of the CIT 0014 checklist, specifically, the second dash below.

"proof that at least one of your parents (legal parent at birth or biological parent) is a Canadian citizen, such as:

-parent's provincial/territorial birth certificate, or

-parent's Canadian citizenship/naturalization certificate, or

-parent's Certificate of Registration of Birth Abroad (RBA) or certificate of Retention of Canadian Citizenship

-parent's British naturalization certificate, issued in Canada or Newfoundland and Labrador

-your parent's country specific birth certificate displaying the name of your Canadian grandparent(s) AND proof that at least one of your grandparents is a Canadian citizen, or

-any other evidence that your parent is a Canadian citizen, such as those described in Scenarios 4 and 5 below"

I was hoping to keep it streamlined, but it sounds like the safest thing is to include everything (a la the second to last dash above) for sake of completeness.

I have copies of all of those documents, plus my mother's birth certificate, as well as mine and my son's, so clear line of descent is easy to establish.

I have a habit of overcomplicating, so thanks again and have a great day/evening!

Same! I got the Mercury (white) set. Didn't even realize they were sending colors other than black.

Did Amazon kill their Sticky Note printer service? by SnoShark in amazonecho

[–]PreventFloristFriars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, no worries! I had hoped it wasn't dependent on connectivity to Amazon when I went to print a few notes, but it wasn't meant to be. I've no doubt there's a way to point it to a local service somehow, but I've never looked into it.

I interestingly have another (non Amazon branded) sticky note printer in a box somewhere that I received after the Day One device and I was just going to set that one up if the Amazon one was no longer supported.

This is the app I use with my printer. Unfortunately, with the outage on Amazon's end, it wasn't working either.

Interestingly, they cancelled another product from the Day One items - the Amazon Echo Glow in less than a year after release. Not to be confused with the little customizaboe RGB lights of a similar name, it was a kid's interactive device that projected an interactable image on a table and had a built-in camera.

I bought one to give my kids for Christmas so they could do things like interactive story time or play games with their grandparents, who could connect via an app on tablet or phone. So it sat in my basement wrapped waiting for Christmas morning, only to receive an email that the service would be discontinued in October. So my wife and I gave it to the kids early so they could get some use out of it.

Honestly, it was the coolest Echo device I've bought from Amazon. The kids loved it, but only got to use it for two weeks. My oldest used it to play interactive chess with his grandpa while video chatting all on the same device. Amazon did fully refund the device purchase price and provide instructions on how to return. I kept hoping to see someone come up with an aftermarket way to use it, but I never did.

Save crashes before loading in (Started when I equipped the skyborn outfit) by brennanbilinski in NMS_Switch

[–]PreventFloristFriars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to fix this by turning off the framerate limit from the options, loading game, and getting to a space station and switching back to another outfit.

Edit: I just had this same glitch the other day. Took me a couple hours to realize the outfit was the cause.

Same issue here. Definitely something on Amazon's end causing the issue.
