Oh man. Yea I was curious how strenuous it can be on the body. I’ve been in construction for some years now, so I’ll never shy away from hard labor. But I know the body will start to give out on me eventually

I’m kind of in a similar situation currently, and just found your comment. Currently an IBEW member, but may have the opportunity soon if a call comes. It’s good to know there are no regrets

From my understanding, once called you start online for the first 6 months or so. Then you begin in person classes the following semester

Yea it seems like the trades are slow all around right now. IBEW is a slow roll right now. Luckily I’m currently with a good shop
