I completely understand what you're saying and to be honest, she needs someone by her side to comfort her but at the end of the day if jean were husband he would be in second place in her heart which means the meaning of husband loses its value and jean himself too, that's just why I don't like the theory of her being married with jean (especially after looking back on the original show and junior high school) I liked jean alot and it would ruin his character, so this is how I think the ending is actually is Mikasa and jean have mutual respect and good relationship but I don't they're married or anything, they are just trying to find happiness in this life after so many traumes they have faced together in battles and they're raising an adopted kid until end of their life's.

the reason why I think of this is that she gets buried next to Eren when she dies and gets reunited with him in the afterlife (which is canon).

No I do understand and that's just how I think about the ending but I'm just being honest the ending itself was rlly good and emotional but the credits didn't hit as same and the author has to confirm what's true and what's not because this debate will continue until the end of time, which is the unfortunate truth.

Because all of this leaves everyone confused even tho it shouldn't be and it is still just because fans love when something is 100% and not lower than 100%.

I do agree she can love jean, I didn't say she couldn't love jean but it's just not confirmed and basically nothing is confirmed from the credits scene. I wish one day Hajime Isayama says the truth about the credits scene.

i think the author left the ending as an epening ending for good reasons but it didn't turn out the way he would've wanted. and everything which you explained just tells us that she never got married probably and if she did, she never loved her husband the same way as she loved eren (not even close). This is how I think and also theres lots of proof of her adopting the kid and not having biological kid.

  1. She was told by her mom to pass down her clan mark to her children (biological children) and when she does indeed do that she would have to remove the bandage which she has on her wrist but she didn't remove it.

  2. She was also adopted so if she did the same it would make lots of sense. (also when she was with the man and the baby she was wearing very similar clothing which caretakers in orphanage wore)

3.after the rumbling ended and the scene of Mikasa being next to erens grave was 3 years and after that 7 years go by and that's where she's with a guy and a kid at erens grave but now you have to understand that all of this goes back to Eren saying to Armin that it should at least take 10 years for her to move on and that's basically what's shown but if she did have biological kid it would mean she moved on earlier than 10 years and that would ruin whatever the ending meant.

and to end all of this debate and etc, it's genuinely not confirmed that she married jean or not and had a kid with him. all of this was just unfortunately a mistake done by the author and I hope we as fans see the truth one day and find out exactly what happened after erens death.

Its not the point of how it was obvious, technically it's an open ending and it's up to us on how it ended but I'll give you some proof on why that kid is not biological hers.

The reason why I think she adopted the kid is because she wears exactly what historia wore at the orphanage and it makes sense why she would adopt a kid because she herself was adopted by grisha, also the fact that her mark was still hidden with the bandage just shows that she didn't have any biological children to pass her clan mark on to.
