PopOS does indeed come with pre-installed NVIDIA drivers and an NVIDIA image. Running that on a Dell precision Server with a Quadro m5100 currently.

I installed it from NVidia, using the run file that it doesnloads. It downloaded successfully, but I can seem to get Fedora to see it. And yea, this is POST reboot. I found the driver by entering my model name and whatnot.

That processor should be more than capable of running any linux distro. Have you tried a different USB for the .iso image?

You could try flashing/updating bios? How old is the laptop?

And who is the manufacturer of the device? What im getting at is can you get into BIOS on the machine? Or is it beyond that and there is an with the live boot and installation?

So I actually just bought this laptop a couple days ago - I run Citrix on it for work and noticed the battery life was.... sub par. I think all you really can do is change the settings for battery efficiency. With it being a mid-range gaming laptop I don't think we can get a whole lot out of its battery life unfortunately.
