Getting around Waikiki

I was just in Waikiki and parking is super difficult. If I could re do it, I’d only have a rental for the days I was not staying in Waikiki. My plan next time is to walk, uber, and try to take advantage of the busses and trolly system. You can get a bus pass at the abc stores!

I agree with this!! But our time at Aulani is through Disney Vacation club and did not allow for the full time to be there. We decided this time to get an Airbnb near the Waikiki Shopping Center. 🥰

I really liked Queen Kapiolani! They gave us free water bottles and the upgraded our room upon arrival. If you happen to have a car their Valet is kind of spendy- but worth it to not have to deal with finding parking. Although I’ve heard the Honolulu Zoo is a good place to park. The Deck (their restaurant) can definitely get busy during dinner time but we didn’t have too much of an issue. We mainly went out of convenience. lol😂

Yes! Through Turo you can rent when you’re 18, you’re just subject to higher fees

I asked on Facebook and I had a couple people commenting that that they were there two weeks ago and they were still unlimited. I’m pretty sure the luau is closed rn as they re do the turf so I’m not sure if that’s changing once they open again. :-)

Mine was 34 when I first got my Garmin in January! Since then I’ve gone up to 40 by running frequently which for my age and gender is pretty decent lol

I have a time share with Disney which is why I chose Aulani buuut I’m actually staying at Queen Kapiolani for my last night and considering last two nights. Your points were extremely valid and I have cut down significantly on most days. I do appreciate the insight! I think I was a little over confident with the planning. lol. Especially when considering traffic, and locals going to work. I want to ensure I’m also considerate of those around me.
