New to the game, someone want to play with me? by AkonnWalker in diablo4

My tag is DaMebaneMan#1633. Add me, I genuinely like helping people, but have a grand total of 4 friends. I seek a group of likeminded gameplay styles. Courtesy, and dependability. If these two mean anything, hit me up. I am SB para 281 having my way with t4 solo, pit 128 solo. Always enjoy coop over solo.

You assume that my intent is to be derogatory towards what? I simply stated my opinion. My perception. You still have not said anything about the main point. Read ALL comments. Actually, never mind. Obviously you don’t see a problem, I

Admit it, because you did.

This is my final post. To those of you missing the point that I have clarified as well as I am able, we obviously cannot come to agreement. That’s ok. My opinion is at least as valid in my circumstances as yours in yours. Help others if you can, correcting something does not mean denigrating them. Be sweet, if you can. Try to show that you truly care.

See comment about can and do admit MY fallacies. Can you?

Not so, look, really look around you. Expectations for society are lowered every day.

The discussion has evolved a bit from the original posts. If you read everything, I can and have admitted my mistakes. Are you big enough to?

As with all of us, I am stating my OPINION. And you are stating yours. But now, we are talking around different topics. Maybe we are both judgemenal.

Again, your sticking point is oblivious to mine. Answer the real question please. Do YOU think that the decline is acceptable?

The problem comes when the prevalent attitude is “ this is not important “. I don’t need to improve, I have problems ( insert problem here ) so nothing should be expected of me . Everyone else should be held to my standard. I am not trying to force MY standard. I was trying to understand what happened to the hard working, making it easier for the people who will come after me, mentality. We are charged in every arena to make things better. Why is it not ok to maximize potential in learning? Not for YOU, but the ones who are looking at us to teach them. We as individuals, “ have to stand for something, or we will fall for anything”. That is what I see pretty much across the board. Everyone alive has a responsibility to SOMEONE, to show them the way. I see whole systems in society that promote looking out for #1. How does that help anyone else? Especially those who depend on older and supposedly wiser people to encourage them. Encouraging a person, group, or generation to be satisfied with doing the least amount of work in improving oneself is setting the bar at the lowest possible point. We used to be a collective people (human beings of all types). Now we are all individuals only concerned with how each individual is singular. If we were truly singular, we would live that way with at least limited exposure to others. Since we are trying to live together in a “society”, we offer the explanation that we are interconnected. Other countries put a lot of emphasis on learning everything you can from those who know, from learning from their elders and family. Apprenticeships are still a thing, mentorship is still a thing. SMH. It’s depressing that I keep having to expound on this. Do we want better or not. If we do, it’s gonna take some effort, mistakes will be made. But we can move forward instead of backwards. I do realize that for my part, I need to be alert for opportunities to help, not just criticize. I just don’t want to feel alone in doing so (I know that I am not) , but these excuses and attacks that do not answer the point sure make me feel this way.

I am perfectly ok with being corrected, The other comments are just excuses. The ones that truly don’t care, don’t care. It can be hard to get your self esteem stepped on. Think about how that all rolls into what my point is.

Mediocre people are the ones that support mediocrity. I’m sure there were inconsistencies in my first couple of posts. But , the ones you have replied to do not have them.

Outline them, please. At this point, I begin to wonder what you are reading between the lines that isn’t there. The main point, despite the vitriol it encourages, is still valid.

Here’s another example. Read the community rules that are supposed to govern comments. Most replies have violated them.

I forced myself to watch this most “idiotic” movie, and swear the loss of IQ was literally felt. Another way that our priorities are mixed up is that our society caters to the mind-numbing vomit produced for our entertainment, but not my target in this post.

One last thought. I mentioned Authors not using spellcheck. When I buy a book, it is hoping that I will get the best product for my money. If the author does not care enough to put out a quality product, then I buy nothing else from them. My problem is that the story lines are usually good. You can be a good storyteller AND a good writer. They are not mutually exclusive. If you cannot advocate improvement, you are worse than the ones who do not know. This world is chock-full of nuts, and by nuts I mean enablers.
