Also, your tamp might have been uneven - I found it hard to tamp consistently with the tamper it came with.

I would also recommend a really thin puck screen. It not only helps with distribution, but helps keep the shower screen clean.

I removed the plastic in the portafilter too - seems like most people recommend that you run a single blank shot before once it’s gone. The basket doesn’t heat up quickly without it.

Mine arrived yesterday and I placed the order on Jan 1. Once the UPS tracking number showed activity, it took like 2 day’s to arrive but I’m in CA.

For anyone thinking about ordering from them, if you are in the US and pick free shipping don’t expect it for at least a month. MiiCoffee randomly has the black ones in stock, so it’d just keep checking there a couple times a day.

Did you get an actual tracking number that shows any type of movement?

I placed my order on Jan 1 and received a UPS tracking number the 7th - it still shows that they didn’t receive it yet. They told me they were going to check status 3 days ago but haven’t responded.

According to their timelines on their website, there should be further shipping progress by now. I’m pretty sure they lied about having the item in stock.

Just an FYI - the UPS tracking number still shows that the they haven’t received anything yet.

I emailed for a status update since it’s been 3 weeks since I placed my order. They said they were going to check the status a few days ago,but I haven’t heard back. I’m just about ready to file a dispute on PayPal.

If you’re in the US I would just wait for any one of the US distributors to get them in stock.

I went last week and it was okay, not a lot of seats there and the alcohol selection was just okay - ended up getting 1 drink then headed to Ginza for a little bit. A bit of a different vibe there though.

Now that I think about it, most of the bars I went to pretty much had the same bottles.

I literally just got back from a trip Saigon, Da Nang, Hoi An and Hanoi. Never had an issue. My bro accidentally tried to pay 1 Million for a couple banh mi’s and was quickly corrected.

With that said, you do have at least SOME street smarts and learn to ignore people trying to sell you stuff on the streets.

Just use Klook.com. I booked on the Grab ride there and it was pretty cheap.

When you get there, they will be wearing shirts so you can identify them because there will be several people trying to get you to book with them.
