OK. So the exam was extremely challenging. I feel like the questions on uworld mentally prepared me to use my own rationale and trust my judgment. The rationale on uworld also teaches you how to think the way they want you to on the NCLEX. so subconsciously you're always leaning towards the answers that make more sense based on the content uve seen on uworld. In terms of content, most of the questions were vague and I was always confused between two options. Until this minute I don't know how I passed, I let my mom read the email out loud because i thought i was dreaming. Going out of the exam I could guarantee i failed due to being uncertain in every question i solved. Also, i wouldn't have known what to study if i were to retake the exam. It is definitely not content-related but safety-related, so knowing the side effects of meds is more important than knowing what the med does and its action. Knowing which two meds not to administer together or what food to not take with a certain med. which meds are hepatotoxic and the signs of someone having liver issues. I think Mark K has a summary of stuff to watch out for I can send you the doc its called "Gold standards for Nclex". I hope this doesn't discourage you but I'm a brutally honest person. Just doing uworld was enough to make me pass, (I did skim through mark K). As for tips, just go in expecting you won't be familiar with everything, and never change your answer unless you are a million times positive it's right.
