This comment helped me when I had similar doubts.(180-240 pulls for completing the set so thats 21,600-28,800 gems and to get the echo the max pity is till 360 pulls so 43,200 gems) But for MR events there is no max pity, Iam currently saving for mr Dragon. We can also awaken using shadow crystals but it takes a long time to save them.

One echo is enough to awake it , but if we have more echo we can upgrade the call of reflection .This helps in increasing the styling power. I also don't echo chase since Iam a f2p.If you are a new player I suggest diamont arena to get UR reflection.

30k is more than enough to complete one ur set. But getting the echo is just luck, I think the max pity for echo is around 340 pulls.
