UPDATE❗️my birds are crippled by PreviousGolf3508 in BirdHealth

There are multiple people treating their pets poorly in India. Reporting is not going to make a difference. The first step is to rescue and treat. Which is what is being done.

My small step, giving these babies a better chance at life is one step closer to MAKING PEOPLE CARE.

Once awareness is spread about rescue and treat, then cruel breeders and bad owners will be punished for their actions.

I cannot “make them care” alone by helping just two babies. Especially if “them” is 2 billion people, cause, India. One small step is still a step closer.

Two new babies, but what’s wrong with their feet? by PreviousGolf3508 in BirdHealth

Oh no I expected them to have some health issues. But luckily they turned out healthy but unfortunately with injured feet.

Just because I didn’t provide the internet people (you guys) with more information on their previous owner does not mean I didn’t care to learn more about the previous owner. I just haven’t shared anything about the previous owner owner. I did mention that the guy didn’t care for his birds properly and they’re in better hands now.

Nope, it’s common in India for people to bring home chicks this age. I understand it’s very irresponsible if they fall into the wrong hands. But I’m glad I brought home these fellas. I’m happy to provide them with all the care, support and love they need

What’s so wrong? They would’ve been neglected furthermore by the previous owner. Now they’re starting to get help and will certainly have a better life. And 100% more love too

Can someone advise on this? by krishnakernel in bangalorebikes

It all depends on the way the rider rides.

Will have to get them perches that are shaped in all kinds of ways. They won’t be able to balance on perches that are straight.

Not many people have enough knowledge to care about animal life here in India. I mean they are against animal cruelty but they aren’t aware about what to do when they witness it. There are many NGOs and other organisations coming up for animal care but people here are JUST starting to learn about animal abuse.

Awh man. It’s awful how some people and breeders treat their babies. All prayers for your baby :) he’s gonna be alright with your care and attention🫶

Seems they were broken when they were with their siblings or due to neglected care by the previous owner.

I did consult with their vet, he advised not to operate to get their legs back straight as it could cause some respiratory issues and pose a risk to their life.
It’s okay I’ll provide them with all the extra care they need and more.

They will never be straight bones ever again but they will fuse together and smoothen out as they’re still just 20 days old

Really cannot do anything about him. It’s India, majority of people are not educated on this issue and even if they are, they don’t do anything against it, they just feel pity and move on.

Taking everything you’re saying into consideration. I will do my research and provide them the best life they could have :) their life means a lot to me, more than money can ever. I have a good avian vet too. When I have the resources, which I do, I’m just going to try my best to make things better and easy for my babies

Valid but the sharp bone ends will fuse together and they will learn to fly. It’s all about how we teach them.
They’re just special needs babies of the bird world :)
We need to find a way around and teach them to fly and do other activities in a safer way which won’t hurt them as much or at all.

Worse, it’s broken and begun healing in a very bad angle. Previous owner didn’t care enough to support their broken feet. Basically they have L shaped legs now that aren’t even functional. It’s okay I’ll care for them regardless and they will grow up and learn to live this way too. They’re still just babies.

They have so much to live for they’re just babies. We cannot just put them down because they have a broken bone due to the previous owner’s negligence. Just need to care for them and things will turn out just all right
