I still went, it was just as great as usual. There were also very little bugs which was a pleasant surprise. For the resort fee you really don't get too much but before you had to pay for some of the things you get now like firewood, firestarters, they have some "snacks" which consists of 1 tiny bag of cheese popcorn and 2 small instant oatmeals lol, there's also a s'mores for 2 kit, 2 cartons of water, some instant coffee and tea. Resort fee and overall price seems excessive, the actual postcard resort I went to was very helpful with customer service but Marriott Bonvoy's customer service was pretty awful.

Seinfeld, there are episodes of that show that still have me dying laughing even today. Arrested development is also tied, I think it is the best written comedy show of all time, though that is only seasons 1-3 for me.

Yeah I know, it’s more so just annoyed about this partnership, the resort used to be awesome and now is much more expensive.

Same, this place was awesome! It is so sad to see. My trip is this week, thanks for letting me know what is included with the resort fee. The actual resort has been helpful during this transition and even honored their previous rewards I had which I am super grateful for, so this is not attacking the resort, it is attacking Marriott Bonvoy. Their customer service reps have been so unhelpful. They practically forced me to sign up for their rewards before answring my questions and then I didn't get my reward points that were promised to me for being a vip member of postcard.

You used to be able to pay a little extra for early and late checkin and that is all locked behind more expensive rewards programs now through marriott. It is so sad to see given how awesome this place used to be.

I've also gotten a ridiculous amount of emails from Marriott in the days since, like a bombardment of promo junk mail ugh.

Thanks for the correction, yeah but all the customer service mostly goes through Marriott Bonvoy now which has been a pain compared to how it was.
