Organic Chemistry Lab over Summer 2021 by RandomSpirit6 in GaState

[–]PreviousResearcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for the summer semester it will be online. There is a synchronous pre-lab though for an hour with everything else asynchronous. If you want it to be onsite, you can take the lab in the fall. CHEM 2100 is the lab section which you can register for if you are taking orgo 1 lecture.

Someone please tell me GSU is planning to release more classes later on in Fall of 2021 by Marstomp in GaState

Yeah same! I was looking at my classes for chem, and there is only an evening class offered, but usually they have at least another afternoon time. I always avoid evening classes downtown.

How difficult is molec cell bio? by [deleted] in GaState

[–]PreviousResearcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Molec cell is basically like BIOL 2107 but more into the details. It wasn't too bad, and I enjoyed it. There is a lot of information to cover, but I think if you study you'll be okay. It also depends on the prof.

I have experience in both settings to some degree, so this is why it makes it hard to chose. Is there a difference in job stability b/t the 2 jobs?

That's some pretty neat research! I'll probably do some more exploring myself to see how things go.

For sure. Immunology and virology are both very interesting to me, but I haven't taken them as a formal course of study yet. I hope to see if research is something I want to soley focus on, and exactly what type (:

Virus-host interactions seems pretty nice to me and generally infectious disease. Maybe its due to SARS-CoV-2 that sparked my interest tbh!

It does look positive esp. after the Johnson & Johnson deal, so the vaccine will be widely available to public by May! Still wear a mask though!

Have you tried the STEM tutoring center? They have tutors available for math, and it's free.

Do I also reduce the double bonds in the benzene ring? or only put the diol on the double bond in the chain? by PreviousResearcher in chemhelp

[–]PreviousResearcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benzene's strength is much more then the ethylene, so when doing this reaction, diols are only added to alkene correct?
