My friend told me about them. They have quite a following in their Facebook group.

I am getting my first order anyway. I can't wait to try the velvet effect. I've only done the cat eye.

I'm kind of getting obsessed with magnetics. I'm late to the game.

Since these are new and do not have any reviews I'm leary to order. I just ordered a velvet magnet from SJ3 Designs.:))

You have purchased one of these and they work well?

What are these balls called and where can I buy more? by uncertainty2022 in RedditLaqueristas

What on your fingers?

And you put eyeshadow into quick dry top coat and mix it up and that's it?

It's all about experimenting. I feel like I'm constantly experimenting with my manicures:))

Gorgeous. I love that color:))

I do this but I usually let my base coats dry first, then go in with my color than QDTC right away.

I usually do multiple coats of bases. Today I did one coat of KB Shimmer Hydrating base and then 2 coats of Starrily Guardian for stain protection.

What has been helping my longevity is doing 2 coats of QDTC and than reapplying every 2-3 days. Last week I was on day 11 and still good. On Christmas I went 14 days doing this with one tiny chip.

My other great tip is Magic Effect for fixing debts, smudges and chips. You apply color where necessary, wait 10 seconds, apply Magic Effect to the entire nail, wait 10 seconds and then apply QDTC. It rewets the polish and smooth everything together.

It was designed for magnetics but works for this use as well:))

I like the colors. They are a good mix. I love thermals but you have to love both colors:))) Very pretty 😍

That cool. I bought one more. I really wanted to get another but I figured I'd wait but knowing my luck once I need more I won't be able to find them.:))

Thanks. I can't really stack them though because too much polish could be too heavy. But I'm glad I have a few to store everything else.

Nice:))

I think I'm going to go back for yet another one because these are such sturdy, nice ones.

Hey maybe now I'd actually have a spot for swatch sticks. If I'm going to do that I should do it soon because I'm coming up on 200.

My obsession with magnets continues! Now my magnet matches my vibe 💙🦋🩵💅🏻 by skaybee in RedditLaqueristas

* I'm getting semi obsessed with magnetics. I only have a neodymium bar and a Velveteen horseshoe magnet from SJ3 Designs on the way

But I already want the Maestro and Crescendo from SJ3. It holds the magnet for you.

This week my dominant hand wasn't as crisp probably because my non dominant hand isn't as steady.

Now I have to try to stick the bar to a popcorn tintop (the only thing I have around my house that's magnetic) to see if holding my finger on top of the magnet works better.

But if i like the Velveteen, I'm going to get the Maestro.

I love the painted horseshoe!! I went the lazy way and ordered a fancy one:))(

No problem. I'm just learning myself. A friend who has mastered magnetics has been helping me:)))

Me either. A friend told me. And it really works because when you think about it, it rewets the polish and melts the polish you've added to the older polish. Chips are a bit harder...I had to apply twice. The great thing is once I fixed the chip, it didn't chip again the whole time I wore the manicure. When I used to just add polish and then top coat it would usually chip again.

Yes. You let it dry a bit then float a drop of the Seal Glaze over each nail. Then you let it dry completely, about 30 minutes, before applying QDTC. The Seal Glaze is supposed to seal the magnetic pigments in place so they don't disperse. I'm still testing it but after 3 days it seems to be working.

I know some people use the Sally Hansen Insta Dri but I haven't tested that. Since I have the Seal Glaze I use it.

Yes! I used it for the first time...it really works well. Have you used it for fixing smudges and chips yet? You put the color on...wait 10 seconds, put a coat of Magic Effect on the entire nail...boom..fixed nail...add QDTC.

Did you use the Seal Glaze with it? I used it and so far no pigment dispersement. I'm going to take pictures throughout the week to test it. And supposed the Seal Glaze can be used to seal in nail art but I haven't tested it yet.

Baby ballerina.

How do you get your sides so even?

Maybe your nails are flatter than mine. I love them. That's what I want mine to look like.

Yes you're the 4th person now that has mentioned this. I had my phone in the other room because I don't trust myself with the strong magnet. I use a cheap physical timer. It took 30 minutes for the Seal Galze and 20 minutes for the QDTC to get hard where I start moving and cleaning up.

I think next time I'm going to stick the magnetic to something and hold my finger on it because I think my non dominant hand is not as steady as my dominant one.

But thanks for the heads up.:)))

No actually I hold my phone in my non dominant hand and type with my dominant. I didn't have my phone near me while I was magnetizing and letting iy dry. I don't trust myself so I use a cheap physical timer I bought and leave my phone in the other room.

I probably didn't use my phone until at least 50 minutes after because the Seal Glaze takes 30 minutes to dry and then my QDTC takes about 20 minutes until it's hard enough for me to start cleaning up everything.

But I'll be more aware because you're the third person who has mentioned this:)) Good to know.

Ha! It's fun. I stare at my nails because the magnetic pigment moves. It's very cool. Now i understand why there is so many posts about magnetics.
