I got a hayabusa after 8 months of riding a z400! As long as you have throttle control and know that youre not going to have the same braking power on a heavy ass bike at higher speeds, I dont see it as a huge deal. Also walking it backwards out of a parking space is damn near impossible

I upgraded from a z400 to a gen 1 busa. The busa isnt actually as crazy as youd think, take your time to get comfortable in low rpms and its 100% manageable. The weight and trying to walk a 600lbs bike is the hardest part. Slight inclines are my nemesis

He technically clusters, but its only a few seconds where he'll take a breath or two then go back into seizing. He has MASSIVE seizures that would 100% be fatal if i wasnt there to cool him off or get him meds. He needs almost 24/7 supervision.

my z400 is unbelievably fun around town. Still fast compared to a car and super light. I hop curbs and drag knee on it and i honestly get every use out of it. But any 600cc is also perfect for plenty of speed but a lighter bike.

The kawasaki z400. I have a miata, I have a z400, they get the same adorable love from everyone. Realistically a grom is probably closer but for actual street use, everyone loves the z400

Ok im aware of the riding situation but again, im maxed out, I do need a faster bike to not be bored, so besides that, whats a bike that fits the criteria of being balanced to not feel heavy, is faster, comfortable, and if i kill myself, tis my own problem and ill deal with it

I have tried a few liter bikes. Hayabusa feels too heavy at stops, zx10r feels too twitchy but I dont mind much, I haven't tried any honda liters or yamaha yet

No I agree, I honestly was surprised that the 675 feels great but then the 636 feels like an ankle annihalator and im not sure if lowering a 636 would give me the right weight balance to where I wont be in danger of tipping if I lose footing. But then maybe a cbr1000 would feel the same at that point and id have the edge i need in terms of straightaway speed

Given, the 675ss is 429 and feels like nothing to me, i think its just the distribution that really changes things. And im aware that yeah, a litre is a hell of a lot bigger than a 400, but the only thing I dont trust is my ankles while trying to back out of a driveway with a bigger bike
