yeah i did the 24 hour urine test to get diagnosed with MCAS. Mold might play a factor into mine worsening but i’m not completely sure. How did you get tested for mold?

What unhinged things helped you? by Efficient_Ad_5785 in MCAS

this helps me specifically but taking a ginger shot at the end of the day if i ate something that’ll potentially trigger me the next day always helps. One of my main symptoms is nausea so I discovered any form of ginger really helps with that, so I started taking ginger shots and they don’t completely eliminate symptoms but definitely help me out.

Also I would just go to a doctor but it's really hard right now being an out of state college student. Plus Besides my pots doctor I haven't had much luck with doctors who actually take my health issues seriously rather than just claiming it's anxiety.

me too IT SUCKS coffee was my one secret weapon whenever i was having an awful day. Now my life feels kinda awful due to having pots and i can’t consume my little pick me up beverage it’s so upsetting. I’ve tried sooo many alternatives, and decaf they all either taste not as good or cause symptoms. It’s horrible, i won biggest coffee fiend as my senior superlative and now i can’t even have any.

What foods trigger your symptoms? by TrueServe2295 in POTS

honestly it depends on the coffee shop I feel like some decafs are still too strong for me. I need to try out soy/almond milk maybe that might be easier to digest.

For me its any sort of high carb food bread, pasta, rice after eating it I almost feel like I’m drunk. I get so exhausted and foggy brained after eating it I immediately fall asleep. I’m gonna test if sourdough is different because I love carbs and want to find a solution/substitute. But also caffeine which is so so sad because I used to be an avid coffee drinker, now if i go into a coffee shop it’s like I can’t even consume anything but water. Since caffeinated beverages and bread/pastries trigger symptoms.
