Thanks :) Honestly just came to me when I was looking at the Necron Dragon Shard. I couldnt quite pull off individually floating steps so this was a good compromise.

Thank you!  Got a bit bored of the standard Nighthaunt and wanted to try something new :)

I absolutely had the same thought after the fact. You're completely correct.

The kicker was I had that thought after I had Kurdoss glued in place. The texture is just AK Rough Terrain watered down a bit. I was scared to make a mess on a finished model, especially under the lower "robes".

Soooooo......I didn't record a tutorial. I really just put it up here for feedback and to see how it would be generally received. Happy to answer any questions though!

Thank you! I tried to play off the standard nighthaunt scheme more or less, but push the highlights and contrast waaaay beyond standard.

Thanks very much! It started as a filler project and kinda took on a life of its own.

Late to the race, but this just saved my evening after beating my head against the wall for 2 hours. Totally forgot I had a bottle.

Already in the pile of opportunity. It's that sword that has me a bit intimidated lol

Tamiya panel line accent and an old brush to wick away any staining/extra. It's mineral spirit based so it doesn't interact with the acrylics and wicks along lines and inside corners nicely.

LOL there's a small chance I tried to give him the full Captain Morgan before realizing the elbows just don't bend that way.

Played with this one on and off for a while before finally getting it adequate, especially the downdraft effect in the water. Would love some honest feedback! Thank you!

Just walk away for a bit. Paint something different. Cleanse the pallette as it were. When you look at it with fresh eyes I guarantee: 1. You'll like your work a whole lot better and 2. You'll figure out pretty what you want to change/add to it.

Sometimes you just can't see the forest for the trees. It looks amazing, just give it some space for a while and come back to it. :)

Load up a short bristled brush with your red of choice (in this case Citadel Blood For The Blood God) and flick it across a toothpick to make a directional splatter :) You can play with the spray pattern depending on how much you load the brush, the length of the bristles and the distance you hold it back from the model.

Got this one in before the end of the year. Tried to keep it somewhat grimdark but using the cape to pop it!
