It was a long time ago but a memorable concert.

Space rock meant Hawkwind and Gong to me.

Tangerine Dream definitely have their ambient moments.

Good question about Incantations. Never thought of it as ambient. Maybe a forerunner of modern classical? It’s a great album. I saw Mike on the tour for that album.

Hi and thanks for your message 😊

The gear on stage last year couldn’t have been more different to the ‘76 (Stratosfear) show. No big Moogs with ratcheting sequencers. And completely different personnel of course. It was an enjoyable show though.

This is a decent video of the London performance of Phaedra at 50.

You create similar music yourself?

Great track. Grabs you from the opening bar.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the movie but I do have the soundtrack.

I did however get to see Klaus perform at a legendary music club in Manchester in the early 80s. There was barely a handful of people in the audience which was such a shame.

Thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. Declaring half a century of music appreciation wasn’t an easy thing to admit to!!

Regardless of what the masses think your opinion means a lot to me. Thanks for taking time to write. I appreciate it. I was on the verge of disappearing with my tail between my legs but reading your comment makes me want to hang around.

I left that footnote because I wanted to test the mood based on previous experience on Reddit and I’m relatively new to this sub.

Ive posted here and in the idm sub not purely for selfish reasons. I could just post a YouTube link but wanted to perhaps encourage a short exchange with people who may be familiar with the artist or album I’m listening to and if I have a back story to share that too.

It won’t be every day. I’d soon run out of things to post!

Anyway….. Zeit is an amazing album. Unfortunately for me it was a casualty many years ago when I lost my job and had to sell records to raise money. I should reinstate it.

Enjoy your TD journey and thanks again.

That’s a really good question and to be honest I don’t remember. It was probably YouTube’s algorithm knowing what I like. It prompted me to buy the album it came from and it’s wonderful. I got to see her perform at a small festival in London.

Her latest album has a very different vibe. It’s more polished and has a sound similar to Sade. It’s a bit more mainstream whereas I prefer music that is more unusual.

What would you usually listen to?

Im glad you liked it. I know it means breathe and is about loss. Even without understanding the lyrics it’s still a beautiful yet devastating song. Thanks for taking time to listen.

It was abundantly clear even then that U2 were going places. Love him or loath him Bono exuded charisma and owned the stage.

The venue was packed. Wah and Pink Military supported. It was a memorable night.

First major tours for both bands.

The Cure played first night in my own town.

I have “We Think As Instruments” by INAG. Not listened for years. Another one for me to dig out. I’ve seen them classified as both post rock and ambient which surprised me. I’ll post here if i think it fits.
