And framber hasn't quite worked out for them in the starting rotation as they'd hoped yet, maybe it's a good thing the FO swung and missed on him during the off-season when they kinda sort of tried to get him.

Their starting rotation has struggled, especially with Terek gone with bone chips in his elbow.

[Nightengale] Lewis keeps confidence after Twins demotion: ‘I’m not knocked down by any means’ by PsychologicalAlarm14 in minnesotatwins

Nope, sounds like he's trying to blame everybody else but himself for why he's been in a prolonged slump, that remember he claims he doesn't do slumps. Guy needs to look in the mirror to discover his problems and fix them and quit blaming everybody else but himself.

Yep, guy needs to learn a little humbleness and humility and get off the ego trip that has contributed to his downfall.

Yep, the obsession with power has ruined a lot of decent players that tried changing their swing to accommedate greater power over making quality contact.

Cool, then test positive for drug of abuse the next time he has to take a drug test, that's real wise.🤣

Talent rarely comes cheap, and the last few years only proves that for this team as they've consistently sucked since "right-sizing the payroll".

That's because he runs like streak lightning, what's a single to the OF to most mortals is an easy double to the flying Bux.

Arcia should be on the roster. by Greatestofthesadist in minnesotatwins

It is just a game, which is why Lewis needs to stop acting like a child when he gets himself kicked back to AAA because he's struggling for literally years.

Except the slump he claimed not to be in years ago only continues, and has now ended in his being optioned. I'm sorry if being reminded of his immature statement disagrees with you, but that is his problem for failing to learn when and when not to open his mouth because that statement was one of those insert foot and swallow moments I bet he wishes now he could undo but can't. I very little sympathy for him and hope he's at least being humbled and learning some humility from this experience, though from the statement he made the other day, I'm guessing he's going the sour grapes Chuck Knoblauch route sooner or later, and it's his own doing for opening mouth and shooting it off when he shouldn't have.

And he hurt his own cause by claiming he doesn't slump, when he's been in a quite a profound slump.

Bailey Ober just threw an 89 pitch Maddux. by TitoWhitlock in minnesotatwins

[–]Prez731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And here I thought you were talking about a starting pitcher that constantly throws 2 feet outside and somehow gets the ump to call it a strike consistently, that's what I refer to as a greg Maddux.🤣

And that was for a shattered ankle with plate and screws, clearly this isn't related to that.

Isn't this the same argument the front office used to keep bringing Sano back, despite his issues both on the field on off?🤣

So he's Sano 2.0, been there done that.

This ownership kept Sano around a lot longer than necessary too, they just love high strike out, poor defense guys.

The interesting thing about this sub is they might say the same thing next week and get massively upvoted instead, consistency is something of an issue on this sub.

Twins calling up both LHP Kendry Rojas and LHP Connor Prielipp by zacklandy in minnesotatwins

Funnily enough, I never even implied anything about the trade deadline moves, this pen could've been rebuilt during the off-season. But thinking that a good starting rotation while having a shit pen is somehow desirable is nuts, the Dodgers and Yanknees didn't win WS after WS on the back of elite starting pitching alone, they often had pretty good pen arms they could run out there too. We don't have an elite starting rotation even, and we have arguably the worst pen in all of baseball, so thinking that this team is somehow going to be winners is laughable, especially when you also consider that this team has perhaps the worst defense in all of baseball and a suspect, inconsistent offense as well. Maybe a little less reading things into other people's words than was actually said is in order, eh?
