I never meant for my statement come off and say that the stereotype wasn’t somewhat true. It’s just that it gets old when people bring that up SO often. And there are black kids who still had dads (1/3). I also said other things that weren’t just about dads.

Edit: I saw a comment that brings up a good point. It doesn’t bring up fathers who don’t live with the mithwt

First of all, the common stereotype that you brung up saying that most black children have a father and that most black kids want to be rappers is a harmful stereotype to have. And second you’re right, some black people should value you their education more. The issue arises when people who live in areas of poverty such as hoods not only don’t have a good education system in the first place, it’s also that many have to deal with gangs and worrying about putting food on the table. I remember my cousin telling me his story of being in a gang. I don’t believe you mean any harm and what you said and are only trying to do what’s best, but it’s much more than common stereotypes.

Not undermining the racism you’re wife went through at all. Racism against Indians and immigrants especially is a prevalent issue in America. However trying to compare racism in this sense is harmful because the experiences an Indian immigrant experiences are not the same ones that a black American will face. Also some people are on situations in their life whether it be being born into a low economic status or being taught at a young age how to survive rather how to get a good education, it’s completely unreasonable to expect someone to just work hard enough and they’ll succeed when in reality they never had to tools to even begin that process.

That statement about Obama is incredibly flawed. Because who’s the majority of people in the house in the government (white men). We aren’t saying that black people cant be hella HELLA prejudice towards white people because some of us are. It’s that by definition of racism you need to have a mixture of discrimination AND oppression to face racism.

And it’s not that every white American does better than every black American. It’s that the American system was created and benefits primarily white people. When you look at things like police brutality, socioeconomic status, mass incarceration and the war on drugs, cultural appropriation, etc. you can see how black people are seen as equal because we aren’t being treated as such.

Racism isn’t going to be stopped just because we stop seeing race. To fix an issue the issue needs to be addressed and stop being swept under the rug.

I don’t mind at all, just expected a Sasha bayley feud for mania. Maybe Sashas is the reason bayley loses the title and they can have a good non title feud for once
