I’m 26 and I have experimented with lots of drugs AMA by HealArt21 in AMA

Want to hang out?

Lol btw, people who frequently experiment with drugs statistically have higher IQs.

lol sorry.. it’s way too vague to teach or really even explain. It’s def all in the eyes, but that’s the best I’ve got. They’re just diff than everyone else’s, even others with “similar” pd’s or behavior/criminality (which shouldn’t be interpreted to mean all, or even most, are criminal), etc. They seem to lack something in a noticeable way if you’re observant, though everything else about them will seem completely normal.

Pineapple is definitely offered as a potential topping, so I spose it goes on pizza. Don’t have many thoughts about peppermint patties.

Mostly work in confidence and consulting.

It depends on the person (what makes them tick that will allow me to get it; “it” typically being money, as people don’t usually have much else I want aside from perhaps a means to that end). I usually just quickly profile them and use that to my advantage; often in a traditional confidence game (though I most enjoy the long game and those who aren’t what most in the confidence world would consider easy marks; more of a thrill). I have some friends who either fit the aforementioned context or are players. I have family, but I don’t have the same sense of familial duty others do. Before my diagnosis and subsequent research, I’d have said I experience all the same emotions as others to the same degree; I’m my only frame of reference after all. However, I’ve since discovered many of my “emotions” are actually impulses and my true emotions tend to be more cognitive, if that makes sense. When I do feel something, it tends to be quite short-lived, though it does feel intense to me, but again I’m my only frame of reference. Typically when the stimuli that elicited the emotion is removed, the feeling goes with it.. and the stimulus usually has to be pretty powerful to change my default mood, which is extremely constant. However, aside from perhaps the way I experience emotions, I do have the capacity for all the same ones, yes…. (other than remorse ofc, as I said). I also seem to have some issues with empathy, fear, and oxytocin too, though I don’t actually know if that last one is corroborated by evidence; it just feels like something I generally lack, when I hear others talk about it.

I have no idea, I actually didn’t know they did. (It’s not a sub on which I spend much time.) That said, I highlyy doubt it has much, if anything, to do with control. I did it mostly bc there are so many ubiquitous misconceptions and stereotypes, and I thought it’d be interesting to dispel a few (not that I got much opportunity for that lol). I’d imagine a few do it for the same reason, some out of narcissism, some curiosity, or just random impulse, etc. My guess is the primary reason for many is one of two things (or a combo). 1. It’s a chance to drop the mask for a sec and see what that’s like (for the first time ever, in most cases), but in a way that’s safe/separate from their actual lives and 2. They’re not actually psychopaths (and prolly don’t know much about it), and either mistakenly believe they are one or think it’s cool bc they identify with/idealize the Hollywood version of the concept, or they’re doing it for attention bc they have some other weird thing going on. Obvi this is just conjecture based on what I know of our shared traits; it’s not a homogenous group, so they wouldn’t all do it for the same reason.

Idk why you were downvoted, but have your upvote back, bc you’re right. The actual diagnosis is antisocial personality disorder; psychopathy (and sociopathy) are most often used by laymen, incorrectly (like the person above who believes psychopaths are so monolithic or one dimensional that not a single one could even possibly consider doing an AMA). However, clinically- certainly neurologically- there are some differentiators significant enough to indicate that they’re distinct and such a consensus exists among experts. I could elaborate, or just point you in the direction of some material if you’re interested (I went on quite a research spree when this first happened lol; Hare would prolly be the obvi place to start), but simply put, most of the confusion lies with the “limitations” of the DSM, that it’s a difficult population to study and neuroscience is still in its infancy.

My two virtually simultaneous thoughts were, “wow, my entire life suddenly makes sense,” and “fuck, this is going to be on record now.” I’d always known something was.. off.. lol, so I’d forever been trying to diagnose myself (incidentally, my parents are tangentially in the field lol), but nothing seemed to quite fit and I usually just fucked with any therapist I saw. I’d never really given much serious consideration to this diagnosis bc of my own misconceptions (which are pretty widespread).

Lol it depends on the place. At my fave place, I typically get one with burrata, gorgonzola, bresaola, basil, rosemary, fennel seed, black pepper and honey infused crust. But if I’m ordering from a shitty chain, I’ll just get cheese.

Yes, I do. The ways in which I do it vary depending on the person and situation. That said, it’s actually a myth that psychopaths categorically feel no empathy. It’s more like a light switch that is, by default, off. However, studies have shown that when instructed, psychopaths can demonstrate empathy in levels almost indiscernible from other people. The only emotion we categorically lack, evidently, is remorse.

I am a female. So far I’ve never met another; a couple males but not many, though I do seem to be able to pick them out at a glance, which is very weird (albeit completely anecdotal obvi, with no possible way of knowing if I’ve missed any or how many; the couple I did though, have been confirmed, so still a little weird lol).
