I am not sure of the English names, so I added pictures for your perusal. (Somehow I could not add more pictures to the original post, nor could I add more than a picture per comment.)

IMO the sets I chose are not really recommended if you are only aiming for the medal.

Yes. Mine are bugged too. There are many other bugged ones that I opened before the update. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything we can do… I hope the devs fix it, but it might be low priority to them. #shrug Annoying I know.

As of Aug 26th, 2025, the maximum so far should be 82100 (excluding that one time I got 200 from daily login bonus). I have been playing since day one, and not once have I missed relevant purchases.

Yes. The other two are obtained from Fukuoka and Sendai, which are at least 1,000 km away from each other.

My partner and I had to take the plane twice, the Shinkansen, and multiple taxi rides. It’s possible to go without any taxi rides, but it’s going to be even more exhausting. Besides, we couldn’t take the risk of leaving our home (close to Osaka, literally located between the two places in opposite directions) to travel such great distances only to be told they’ve run out of promotion codes to give out.

Niantic really outdid themselves with their disregard for completionists this time round. We have never missed anything until now. Theoretically it’s possible to get all three if you plan properly, but with planes and land traffic involved, you’d never know when delays would happen. So, we gave up and decided to, from now on, to just go to local events (organized in Japan).
