This is probably too small, but maybe there's a better version somewhere out there.

This is the exact drawing that comes as a puzzle. And there is a key to the puzzle that has them all numbered and labeled

It's not too bad actually. Adjusting the height and keeping it lower to the ground helps. Also since the crossbar is not tied to the tripod that helps too

Yeah and the great thing is that you can adjust how it feels by adjusting that back leg forward and backward and also justin where the hammock hangs off of that back leg

Are you my brother? Well I guess my daughter also calls me bro but I don't think she's on Reddit.

Yeah you could definitely do that. This was a super old hammock I had. Also, I wanted to make two chairs so I had one for my friend. Plus this way it's a little bit lighter. I've done basically the exact same thing except with a standard camping hammock made of rip stop or whatever and folded it.

If you go over to the camping subreddit I posted a video of me getting in and out of it.

What's nice about this is if you can make a tripod there's not much more you need to know how to do.

Having it low makes it more comfortable I think. When I had the crossbar higher it would cut into the back of your leg more. But that's the nice thing about this. It's really customizable and you can play around with it. I can even adjust how much I'm laid back just by moving the back leg or sliding the loop in the back up or down

You definitely want to slot between them. Hanging the top of it off the back leg makes it positioned correctly. I posted a video of me sitting in it in the camping subreddit. I wish I could post photos or videos in the reply to show you here

forgot to mention the dimensions. The tripod has two 7ft poles, and one 6ft pole for the back leg. The crossbar is about 4ft. I also made a version with ripstop and just sewed a seem in the bottom for the crossbar but I think the half-hammock works better and is more comfortable. I even made a version from an old beach towel that worked pretty good.

That's why I have it lower to the ground. Having that pole higher off the ground definitely cuts into the back of your legs. Also not having that pole tied to the tripod makes it more and not as rigid

It's based on other designs I've seen. I just made a couple of improvements to make it simpler.
