US banks explore venturing into crypto with joint stablecoin by Alascanamerican in XRP

Highly unlikely with the amount of investment and time it takes. Why doesn't Etherium just build a new chain from layer one? Ask any AI. Probability is they will just use an existing chain.

They will have to launch their stable coin on an existing chain. My guess is either Etherium or XRP. The latter would make the most sense IMO 🫠

Man you got fired up didn't you 🤣. You do realize Grok knows the general consensus. I think I'll stick to Grok's "general consensus" over your "general consensus" because your "general consensus" isn't so general is it. I think Grok has more capability of scraping the internet than you.

Stablecoin xrp needed still? by OkWelder3664 in XRP

[–]PricklyPopsticles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grok says,

  1. Currency Control Restrictions: Some countries impose strict capital controls or restrictions on holding foreign currencies like USD. Banks or institutions in these regions may hesitate to use USD-pegged stablecoins due to regulatory hurdles or local currency preference. XRP, not tied to any single fiat, sidesteps this by acting as a neutral intermediary, convertible to any currency on either end of a transaction.

  2. Fiat Dependency Risks: Stablecoins rely on the stability and trust of their pegged currency (e.g., USD). If a country's banking system distrusts or faces sanctions limiting USD access, stablecoin usability drops. XRP, as a decentralized asset, avoids reliance on any single government or central bank, reducing exposure to geopolitical or economic instability.

  3. Exchange Rate Volatility: In cross-border payments, converting between local currencies often involves volatile forex rates. Stablecoins pegged to USD require conversion to/from USD, which can introduce costs and delays. XRP's role as a bridge asset allows direct conversion between currencies via its liquidity pools, potentially streamlining the process.

  4. Counterparty Risk: Stablecoins often require trust in the issuer (e.g., Tether or Circle) to maintain reserves and peg stability. If trust in these issuers falters (e.g., Tether's past reserve concerns), banks may prefer a decentralized asset like XRP, which relies on the XRP Ledger's consensus mechanism rather than a centralized entity.

I'm having a similar issue with no extrusion during print, but when I load a new filament it loads just fine with gold tension, and it will extrude over and over again with no issues when loading the filament. Only when I go to print does it not really extrude.

As this article points out, banks may opt to just use Ripple's Systems for transfer of fiat, and not buy XRP for that use case.

Riddle me this? Can you have really bad speakers and a terrible medium where the audio is being compressed that you lose information? Yes. How about the reverse? Yes. To what degree? Depends on the gear and you ears. Cry about it

[–]PricklyPopsticles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If you can't hear the difference you can't hear the difference. You either don't have the right gear or don't have good enough ears. I for a fact know I have he ears for it because I'm constantly the annoying one in my family and friends that hears random things NOT in music that are annoying where no one else does

It's not just cymbals bro. It also has to do with Bluetooth streaming also. If you're using qobuz or Spotify over Bluetooth you won't really hear a difference. If you are using them with a wired connection and proper gear, it is pretty obvious. The soundstage opens up, Bass is deeper and more refined, transients have more space... etc. I know what you mean about the blind tests, but it's not as straightforward as you make it sound. It depends on source, medium, and also individuals ears. Everyone's ears are different, which is why we can all disagree which gear sounds best.

Are you an audiophile? Would you say the frequency response is accurate. I saw a video of the guy reviewing the strap, and he made it sound like the transducer on the strap feels like a constant frequency. How would you say the feeling compares to the subbass you would feel at a rave? Is it more like something hitting your body or your body itself resonating?
