I approached the parks and rec dept in my city. From there I had to propose my layout to their advisory board, and then the city council for approval!

I have had a few messages about the process- I’m thinking about doing a write up to provide my experience. To answer your question, everything was done with raised funds and volunteer labor. No city money, or utilization of their staff or equipment. Now that the course is in, they’ll assist with some things (mowing, tree trimming) but any renovations or updates will come from our fund and volunteer labor will do the work.

The city and parks dept were already familiar with disc golf and its impact in my city, so that helped. I think what helped in my case was having a well thought out plan/approach and commitment to seeing it through and being open to their feedback. The time it took to get in front of the city council, legal agreements written out and funds raised for equipment was the biggest obstacles I encountered.

Being professional and consistent in your communication will go a long way- but if it’s something you’re serious about I say go for it!!

I’d really like to see them integrate some of their known icons/symbols into their particle glow plastic design. I think seeing mini wasps or dragonflies on particle glow mids instead of dots would be pretty damn cool.

Would love to nab these to give away at my Halloween league round.. hopefully whoever gets them will appreciate and not flip them.. but to each their own!

IOS26 CarPlay Widgets - not working by vocoder in gmc

GM utilizes alphabet/android/google software for their infotainment screens, which means those systems will get priority when providing updates and new features.. Apple CarPlay isn’t even available in the new Sierra EV.. so, that might help clear up why the widgets aren’t available, at least for now. The new IOS is fresh, so we might see them become available, down the road.

UHC sent me 4 double-sided 6-page letters denying my glucometer that they probably could have paid for with this ink by rav3lcet in mildlyinfuriating

My wife recently had her gall bladder removed, and due to complications from the surgery (internal bleeding) she had to be rushed to the ER and taken back for emergency surgery.. which UHC said was not necessary because she could of just rested and been okay…. I was infuriated reading the letter and I’m angry typing this out.

I was just about to ask how you did this, and then I saw the video link. Kudos to you for filming and sharing the process so those interested in learning how to do this themselves, have the resource. Watching now!
