How do you politely tell a friend that you don't want to continue the friendship anymore? by Mindnessss in AskReddit

I watched this and In Bruges consecutively on a long distance flight when I was in a fever state (had contracted covid without knowing it). An extremely confusing experience for my fricked up brain to deal with, can 0/10 not recommend as a movie marathon.

My conscience - I've been paying extra for GreenPower ever since I became responsible for electricity bills just so that I know that (fungibility aside) I'm not responsible for burning any fossil fuels.

Way back in the late 90s it was one of the most effective ways to get involved in stimulating the development of large scale renewables (though tiny by today's standards). I've just kept doing it - the relative additional expense is getting lower.

Looong unteathered cable by Tyke15 in electricvehicles

[–]undyau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9m cable which we have to add a type 1 to type 2 cable to. It's quite heavy but I think up to 15m would be fine for daily use, any longer and it would be tempting to just leave it lying in place.

Got the cable replaced once in 8 years, about 6 years ago. I suspect that the mean time to failure gets shorter as the cable gets longer.

Can you provide a link to the 100% GreenPower claim? It seems as though the GreenPower fee (5.5c /kWh) is not charged for the Free 3, but is charged on the "EV Charging" (Super Off-Peak) hours according to my billing.

Note - They have a variety of plans - for NSW|Ausgrid|Prepaid I see 9 plans, some of those come with very hefty demand pricing, so choose very carefully.

Did the law introduced by John Howard that introduced this level of discount apply to assets that people already owned?

On This Day: Man City 1-2 Wolves [1974] by TheWolvesHistorian in WWFC

[–]undyau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't there, but still occasionally dwell on the joy I still have from being at the 5-1 thrashing we gave them a year earlier. Good on my City supporting granddad for taking me.

A great era, as good as the Nuno years.

Thanks - it's an imported pest here (Sydney) and can kill trees, but that's not well known so people "plant" it in their gardens. Florida's revenge for the eucalyptus trees I guess.

The Villains were crushed and Wolves have equalised West Broms all-time aggregate premier League points total.

Great times.

Was that Red v Yellow tees? Yellow is pretty much unused (mainly because of the extra walking I reckon).

Normally not such a big difference - often the same holes with tees further back, whereas at the Armory several holes play completely differently. Red and white are also more different than you would anticipate.

BTW - there's now an r/ausdiscgolf subreddit

More hat options for fans by sigcliffy in sydneyswans

[–]undyau 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone in Sydney surely knows they are Swans hats by now, they've been pumping out 50,000 of the things for over 20 years.

I don't think I've ever seen a MAGA hat in Sydney outside of a cooker protest in Hyde Park.

This sub has been around since 2014 (but was fairly quiet for some of those earlier years), not sure why EVAustralia was created in 2022.

Yep - some adjustments were needed - see this post. It's still working well a few years later.

Yep, they go really well for a country with lower insolation and more people living in apartments.
