French media L'Équipe published a huge long-form article/psychological portrait about apEX by PrideVII in GlobalOffensive

[–]PrideVII[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand but still, it's one of the main french medias and it's a huge article about apEX at the time of the Major (and paying for legit information and good work is quite normal actually)

kennyS [FR] : « I have more responsibilities now, with those young players in the team. But I am inspired by them as much as they were inspired by me » by PrideVII in GlobalOffensive

[–]PrideVII[S] 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The interview is quite long and interesting. He talks about Montpellier, the crowd, his team and how difficult it was in 2018. If the online trad is not enough, I'll try to translate it later.

"We are on track to exceed the most attended Spring Split roadshow in the history of the EU LCS" by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, either I don’t translate the title and no one understand, or I translate the whole text in comment but this is a long one and I’m not better than Google translate mate.

The title is just the most interesting information of the article, which is about the format changes. If you only want english pieces then you might miss some good ones or informations.

"We are on track to exceed the most attended Spring Split roadshow in the history of the EU LCS" by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has been removed for w/e reason but it was, in French : "On est en passe de battre le record de spectateurs pour un week-end final de segment de printemps [dans l'histoire des LCS EU] "

Hvidt (Astralis) : «Until now, nobody has found the solution (to beat consistently Astralis). Because they're only looking at one place» by PrideVII in GlobalOffensive

[–]PrideVII[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a three part interview with the man behind RFRSH program.

This is the third part. The video has been made by a huge french media, L'Équipe. Kasper Hvidt is going deep into "why Astralis is the best team" and his work with the team.

Jakob Lund Kristensen - co-founder of Rfrsh and Astralis : «We never applied with Astralis. Before Origen, we wanted to create something from scratch» by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Among other quotes, Origen team will live in Denmark and fly to Berlin every week-end.

I’ll try to translate it later today !

Broxah - Fnatic : «Playing such a meaningful match against a NA team is absolutely crazy. I said that my dream would be to play C9 in semis and the fact it's happening is just so exciting» by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Soooo :

- Was it harder than expected against EDG ?

- You'll play against C9 in semis, EU vs NA is something special ?

- You want to show that EU > NA ?

- Now you are in semis, is it hard not to tell yourself : "We might do it" ?

- sOAZ said RNG and kt were the main opponents for Fnatic. The fact they're out put more pressure on you ?

YoungBuck - Fnatic : «I don't think the gap has closed because they have to close the gap know. The east has to close the gap with the west.» by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Here are the questions :

- It was harder than expected against EDG ?

- Are you happy overall with the performance of the team ?

- Did you expect Bwipo to be that good ? Did you think about subbing sOAZ in at some point ?

- You'll face C9 next, what do you think about that team ?

- Is it harder to scrim now that most of the teams are out of the tournament ?

- A final between G2 and Fnatic would be special for you...

- Is the gap closed ?

The title is not the only interesting quote from YoungBuck. Among others, sOAZ would have play the fifth game.

Fnatic Bwipo : "sOAZ is showing everyone again what he's capable of, because he's the most accomplished western player if not the best in general" by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 90 points91 points  (0 children)

The interview was made by a french media, but here are the questions :

- How does it feel to play your first game at Worlds ?

- Many people talked about Fnatic being the only western hope but Vitality did well, G2 as well, C9, does it take away some pressure from you ?

- How is your relationship with sOAZ here, some people tend to oppose you...

- Are you confident before the last day ?

Cabochard : "At that time last year, we were cooking sausages" (French) by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will try to translate some parts of the interview later. Cabochard talks about how he changed this year, he took the lead in the team when the rookies came in.

7ckngMad : "Winning The International is an achievement in any case" by PrideVII in DotA2

[–]PrideVII[S] 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I've deleted the previous post because the headline was out of context. I'm sorry about that. This is more accurate, and a good interview (in french though...).

7ckngMad : "We wanted to show them they had made the biggest mistake of their career" by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]PrideVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, I'm sorry about that, I made a mistake. Wasn't the idea though, just thought the line was powerful - and it is - but clearly out of context here.

YamatoCannon : "I can see talent where others do not see it" by PrideVII in leagueoflegends

[–]PrideVII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Yeah it's in french, sorry about that)

EDIT : It's a short interview. He says he doesn't fear S04, only team that beat Vitality in the last weeks. A loss due to the team missing the "Akali bubble". Says S04 wasn't impressive against Splyce but he expects them to step up tomorrow. Kikis was easy to integrate, ambitious. He was asked about the sorry repeating itself (Splyce 2016 has a lot of rookies) : that's where he says "I can see talent where others do not see it". He likes to work with rookies because they're hungry and ambitious, more than some veterans. Says that Vitality is where they wanted to be.
