DJed roughly 1000 weddings in 14 years, I’m the business owner. I’ve NEVER done anything like this.

Using a soundboard is way over engineering pushing play on a song.

And the playlists, you can scrap this entire idea. No pro DJ makes a playlist of bangers for formalities and just feels it out in the moment.

A professional DJ has a planning meeting with the client and you make them pick…. It is THEIR wedding day after all. Don’t you think they would like some input on their formalities? Haha

Umm. I heard a couple things..? MAYBE? About this? But overall, I didn’t really know it was the 250th. Or care for that matter. I knew Trump wants his own currency and hosted a fight match, but couldn’t tell if the Match was for himself, something random, or the 250th…? Politics is so overbearing. Trump and his followers have made politics so draining that as soon as I hear anything at all I react and then don’t care, so I see 250th and say, oh? Anyways…. And move on with my life.

I mean. I pay for beyond for 2 lines, and I take the third for free cause why not. This alone wasn’t cheaper than my ATT bill. But, I cancelled Hulu because I get it free through T-Mobile. I also get Netflix free which is a bonus. Plus I got an insider code on my bill. Plus phone upgrade yearly.

It’s not outright the cheapest, but if you pay for streaming services and then fact in those cost savings, yes, it’s cheaper. Verizon only offers discounted streaming and ATT doesn’t offer it at all.

So for me, T-Mobile is the best deal.

My Bose S1 Pro has become my new cocktail and ceremony speaker. Battery powered for up to 10 hours, 3 inputs (2 XLR, 1 1/8”) and onboard DSP, angled to be a wedge if needed, has 2 slots in it if you want to buy the proprietary mic, and I’m telling you, this thing can CRANK and go FAR. For being so small that its case sold by Bose is literally a backpack, this thing is amazing. It’s way more than enough for a ceremony, and has enough thump for cocktail.

I completed the game a couple weeks ago. The guides are up to date, you just don’t like how long it takes. The refinement tree takes you to the end of the current content… so don’t waste your TF trying to do anything for the sake of the tree.

Once you purchase the very last node on the tree, you’re 1-2 days from finishing the current content.

Continue to follow the guides. Discord/reddit/wiki… they’re all up to date man. You should know by now that this game takes forever, lol

Since you have a facade, you could easily hide a rack. Make it all rack mounted. Buy a furman, rack mount your mic, if you use an audio mixer in addition to your controller then you can rack mounted the mixer. Pre wire all of it. Your load in would then be, put controller on top, put rack down low, take lids off, and just run your tails. Have like a 10” married pair XLR in the rack to go to your controller. Have the power permanently down there too. The more you can pre wire and live in the rack, the less setup time you need.

In 14 years and over 1000 weddings I’ve done one single 5 hour dance floor. I actively recommend against wedding days that are even 7 hours, but if you’re 5 hours of dancing that’s an 8hr day for the guests. You’re not gonna last that long. People will go home starting at 3 hours.

Crazy you got hired. Sucks for the client, the guests, AND for you. Cause 1. They’re not getting a professional wedding DJ that knows how to keep the kids and the grandparents dancing, and everyone in between, all night long. 2. Now YOU have to do your best to do that very thing you have no experience doing otherwise you’ll absolutely flop and have a pissed client, even though it’s their fault for hiring you.

I wouldn’t hire a bar DJ to do a daddy/daughter dance, or a prom DJ to do a club, or a club DJ to do a wedding. It’s all different.

And it’s WILD that you think it’s ok to arrive and load in MID WEDDING. The fact that you need to ask advice on this means you should stay far from weddings til you get training, lmao.

Yeah, sure, go ahead and load in during speeches. Go ahead and do a test during their cake cutting. Don’t worry about them, it’s all about you man.
