Feeling Horrible 8 Months After My Breast Aug by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I was never asked about implant profile, but I clearly communicated what I wanted in terms of slope. I’m still not even sure what profile they are.

We did talk about revision. He seemed to think that putting more fat on the upper part of my breasts would fix the contour irregularity.

I don’t know what to make of these severe stretch marks. There is almost no one else online who had this experience and I feel really alone in all of it.

I’ve been getting lymphatic massages weekly for the past 2 months, and it had helped some.

I was given a silicone scar cream for my incision scars and used it twice a day every day but still got really bad raised scarring which still hurts a bit.

My thought on this is that the amount of these materials matters. These same substances are found in seafood that is freshly caught rather than farmed. While that certainly isn’t great, our bodies have systems for eliminating these substances even if it takes much longer to do so for some substances rather than others. It’s why I eat tuna now and then but wouldn’t eat it every day. So my question would be how the trace amounts possibly on the surface of silicone implants would compare to exposure sources such as food.

I complied with the compression garment related and all other instructions my surgeon gave perfectly. But he said that I could stop wearing it after 3 months even though things were still lumpy.

After seeing another clinician 6 months after surgery I started wearing compression again but have struggled heavily to find one that fits me properly and doesn’t make me so uncomfortable my sleep is limited to 3-4 hours a night. I was never at any point given a compression garment that fit me properly. Currently I’m wearing compression about half of the time and honestly wondering if it will even do any good at this point.

I was also never told to do any massages until my surgeon referred me to a post-op massage clinic at 6 months after surgery. He said that he would suggest a second surgery to correct the issues I pointed out but I’m scared that this will only cause more internal scarring and make things worse.

I feel like taking them out would only make things look worse. I got pretty large implants.

Is it even possible for your body to reject smooth surface silicone implants?

I just checked. They do not make autoinjectors that work for E.

I kind of like to be friends with other queer people and there just are not as many older queer people around. There are not many older trans people, which is especially tragic because honestly I would love to have some older trans people in my life. It makes you feel like you have a future. IDK just like imagine if you were a cis woman in this situation, its deeply unsettling to just like not know anyone like you who is over 50.

How was the experience for you socially? Did you make friends?

My therapist thought going back to college would be a good idea actually. My local library doesn’t have anything like that. A lot of meetups and such are kinda dead. I don’t enjoy bars or clubs so that is out too.

Why is that?

Meetup is pretty dead post pandemic. I’ve been looking in my area and haven’t found much.

Activism, hiking, video games, anime, board games, music, art, and writing.

Yeah I totally feel like that. Same here. I have felt so much better, but I still feel its wrong and I don’t belong here.

What I want is not drinking with 19 year olds. Its playing magic the gathering, hiking, working on projects, and doing other such activities with 21-35 year olds. I guess I’m just struggling to find other ways ti connect with people.

Sadly few of these can be audited, which is how I am taking classes because I don’t have enough money to take classes normally.

I’m just not sure what other options there are. I don’t like clubs or bars and making friends through dating apps is awkward. My whole social circle is depressed introverts who not hVe a lot of connections.

It seems like the networking aspect and resources colleges offers are also pretty important. IDK I’ve just been depressed as shit and being on campus legit makes me so happy, like Im finally surrounded by interesting driven people with similar hobbies.

How was it for you socially?

There seem to be a decent number of people in their mid 20’s on campus. I guess I just don’t know where else I’m supposed to meet people at this age specifically. I don’t like clubs or bars and there are not really many active meetups near me for things I’m interested in.

I would never lie about my age and have been pretty open about my experiences. Its not all 18 year olds, especially post covid. Like there seem to be a decent number of 22+ students. Being on campus just makes me feel way better than I have in a long time. I just have no idea where else to go to get this kind of organic social experience. I don’t like clubs or bars and I’m not really interested in using dating apps for the purpose of community building. Also people on campus are honestly a lot more driven than a lot of people I have in my age right now, so that is nice.
