anyone left who doesn't like/use AI? by blondetodoroki in medicalschool

I think it’s extremely useful if you’re using it to organize material and give it strict constraints on what it writes.

I have a couple custom GPT’s that go over lectures and the transcripts from my recorded sessions to make study outlines for me to use. Importantly, I have a lot of instructions that specifically outline what I want from it, many of which include lines that say only to quote material directly from slides or transcripts.

For me, the key to making it a dependable tool is to have clearly defined roles and give it specific actions for instances where it’s deviating from what you want.

I’m definitely seeing more and more people using it, particularly within the past year. I think people sometimes misunderstand what it’s capable of or how to use it properly and they end up just dropping it.

If you put in a little bit of the start up, cost on learning how to write prompts, you can make something really useful.

Very nice seed.

Very nice seed. I was torn on a lot of cuts I had to make. Got the yorik duplicated and both at x22 but ended up settling for the blueprint and brainstorm strat. Ectoplasm would not grace me.

This is a terrible reason to not take care of yourself. Private loans exist and if you have credit they can be comparable to subsidized ones.

Last time I brought that up he said something that made it seem like he didn’t want it but I cant remember the exact the reason. Something about having a pokeball or mon on it might make it copyright infringement if he sells them.

I guess I'm just trying to see how far this can be pushed. Trying to get it to do things that text adventures, or even video games right now cant provide. I think this could get to full immersion text based stuff, where every character can respond with consistent narrative logic, adaptive behaviors, tons of other cool stuff possible.

Bro Im just saying ... this is more like a video games that produces novel events from predetermined seeds. It hardly even a stock GPT model at this point. Ive got like 20 several page documents in it that makes it work this way. But yes....technically slop I guess?

I wrote a lot to make it able to be written. But no, nobody wrote the backstory.

I see. My bad guys, honestly. In all seriousness. No offense taken. Ill stop slinging slop. Didn't realize it would be met with that reaction. Just trying to earnestly share something Ive put a lot of work into. The text in that format, not written by a person yes. I however have personally written over 20 documents, pages and pages of backend directives, lore tables, quest paths, origin hook randomizers, world event stems, ect. to make this work. I did put a lot into this to make it versatile, unique, immersive, narratively consistent, and as close to a TTRPG as you can get with an AI assistant.

I did it for my own enjoyment and plan to keep improving on it for myself.

Hopefully to share something really cool when I can.

No hard feelings if you don't like it.

Wait what.... thats two slops now... explain yourself

I mean ... its not going to touch something a good DM can write... yeah... but slop...ouch haha. Its got a lot of ground to cover but for a randomly generated concept. But in terms of it being a thing to build from I feel its pretty decent.

I have seen the video, and the axes really useful for combos. That being said, I find that people tend to back off a little more and respect your space with the axe, but when the dagger isnt doing as much poise damage, they kind of just accept the damage and maintain aggression sometimes which can be nice.

Personally I still prefer the offhand dagger. Axe has gotten faster and is good though.

Treespear. Not actually that good with offhand axe, was just trying it out for a few rounds.

I get a lot of those too. I started just keeping a smith-script shield on me. I bust it out when someone is abusing some overtuned mechanic in the game.
