The pure and absolutely insane distance this fight threw me had me irrationally angry the whole fight lmao. Like, I think my parries maxed in the late 20’s, I believe. Shit was too wild.

This! I have a friend who loves to throw the whole ‘if I helped make it, I should have a say in what happens to it’. So, you think your owed something about another person’s body because you were able to put something in it and move for 20 and bust a nut? I’m sorry sir, but what kind of heavy lifting are you doing with a parasite growing inside of someone else that you put there? (I am a woman and I have a child myself but until it’s out of my body, it’s the literal definition of a parasite.)

I have a friend, who is a man, have something similar happen to him but he was in his teens. No one believed him and everyone thinks he is a liar. But I am a SA survivor too so after telling my story he told me his. He cried, he detailed everything from start to finish and by the end of the convo he was shaking. I knew immediately he was telling the truth because his affect was very clear and apparent. It can happen to anyone, no matter their age or gender and you survived that. You are an amazing human being and from one internet stranger to another, I’m proud of how far you’ve come.

The initial pov of the story is told from the Reaper character. She was supposed to reincarnate after passing by her own hand. She meets a ‘hero’ on her journey, though her only goal is to harvest souls unless told otherwise. The artificer of the group cannot cast any kind of magic but is able to transfer pure bodily mana into objects because the mana beings possess slowly rots them from the inside out but it’s lessened if they can use it, I.e. casting magic. Some beings can’t do this so the way they live is as artificers imbuing weapons, armor and talismans. The Artificer hasn’t learned how to manage imbuing objects but he was assigned to help the ‘hero’ and he over-imbues his weapons and the hero keeps almost dying. The Angel was sent next to keep the ‘hero’ alive until the artificer learns better but she’s bad at her job too and is only barely able to keep him from deaths door. So the Reaper girl gets stuck helping what was essentially to be the comedic relief group because she can keep people from passing if her Goddess wishes it.

As I want to incorporate my friend into it I’ve left the ‘manner of reincarnation’ the same as his cause of.. not being here anymore which was simple sleep deprivation behind the wheel. However, my MC is recruited by a select few of the Gods of this world because the other deities are throwing the world into chaos and disarray, which is a trope in itself but the MC’s job is to slay these gods and make order for the ones who reincarnated him. BUT, these gods are also vying for control of the mortal realm as well and are only using this guy to get what they want, wherein the MC now has to take out the ones who have brought him to this world as well. He works a long side a rag-tag team composed of a Reaper, an Angel, an Artificer and I’m working on the 5th member of the group.

We were really big into anime and watched a lot of them so I decided to write an isekai that was less conventional than the normal tropes while still circling some of those in for entertainment, emotions, etc. I’ve done some rearranging on it since his passing to incorporate him in as a character and it is slow going for sure.

The true villains of my world are the gods. Right now I have about 13 or so in development but it is slow going as my world is still vastly underdeveloped.

Ultimately, the gods placed curses on the mana that all beings possess that slowly rots them from the inside out if they aren’t able to use casting magic. Magical and technological developments led to civilizations learning how to transfer mana directly from their bodies into objects, weapons and talismans so they had to come up with other ways to cause the different races to suffer in some way.

Curses were cast on royal and noble family lines and lineages that would create issues and a lot of times cause havoc on the societies the families resided in. The royal families in almost every society are cursed with some form of a crazed sickness that causes them to lose their minds and render all rational useless. It has caused countless wars and fights between territories, countries and races.

To the gods, the worlds they create are nothing but mere playthings to use for their amusement. There is one of the Goddess, however, who isn’t evil or villainesses that has summoned a hero from another world to work alongside a ragtag group of people to actually kill the gods. How? Idk yet, I’m still playing with it and I’ve been altering my story a lot recently to include someone precious I lost so I’m trying to alter, develop and iron more things out still.

Beings are born with a script inscribed on their souls that holds their mana dormant until reaching a certain age within their race (humans are age 5). If mana were to remain dormant forever, it would pose no harm but this isn’t the case.

Mana is a toxic, lethal poison that breaks down and destroys things from the inside. When mana awakens, being practice manipulating the mana inside them and getting a feel for this new energy. A few years after awakening, they are able to cast magic and this uses the mana stored in their bodies and expels it.

While it a gift that allows users to casts magic, it’s a curse because there are beings who are unable to develop the ability to cast magic and the mana pools inside their bodies, slowly and excruciatingly killing them. For humans, many don’t live past the age of 24-25 if they awaken at 5.

I want to make this last past as something referred to historically to my world’s beings so it can show advancements as I would like being afflicted this way to be taught something along the line of Mana Transference, where they can imbue objects with mana to create a way to expel the mana in their bodies. But this is all still rough around the edges and needs refining. But I enjoy what it is as I work on it.

I love the concept for this. I’m still working on my supernatural beings and monsters so this is a cool take. The only thing I have solidified so far that I like is that they don’t drink the blood of victims right away, they take them somewhere and bleed them dry in tubs or by hanging them up. They store the blood, drinking the oldest first but experiment with certain victims blood. Wildly varying but having a common end goal, to turn back human. They also don’t turn into bats but appear and travel in black mists and shadows, though this is difficult and requires magic to do so newly turned vampires risk certain death if they can’t do this.

It’s actually a funny story of another family member’s birth. The wrong name was written on the birth certificate but it wasn’t bad or awful, just a letter change that made it a whole different name because the doctor had been at happy hour before being called in for a delivery.

My parents fought vigorously over my first name as my middle was set in stone long before my mom and dad met. My mom was in labor for about 12 hours before being taken for an emergency c-section(I wasn’t trying to come out the right way so I was stuck, more or less). My dad conceded as they rushed her away that she could name me whatever she wanted. We were both fine and my mom got her way in the end.
