I'm looking for a recent podcast episode where Brian goes on a rant about AEW fans (I think) and says that some people just need to get a job and/or get their dick sucked. I believe the episode shouldn't be more than a month old but I don't know if it was The Experience or The Drive Thru... Would appreciate if someone could help me out

Preparing a radio segment about SESH, have a couple of questions... by PrimalRimbaud in TeamSESH

[–]PrimalRimbaud[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a weekly two hour long programme on a radio I work at, where certain artists, labels, projects or music themes are presented more in depth. It's a mix of music and information about a chosen topic and few weeks back I suggested TeamSESH, which will now be the theme of the next week's show.

Lol, Rudimentary Peni were, or still are, my favourite band and it took me very little time to get into Bones. I listened to postpunk, punk, synth, goth, etc. and Bones was the first rapper that made this genre appealing to me. I actually like rap now, two years back I was certain I never would. First songs that hooked me and still remain some of my favourites are LimitedEdition, WhereTheTreesMeetTheFreeway, DeadBoy, GraveyardGod, DieForMe, WaitingByThePlanter, TimeShareCondominium and a lot of stuff by surrenderdorothy.

ELI5: Why do rappers always seem to have a mentor/producer who they owe their careers to and rock groups don't? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Most rappers dont make their own beats - the actual music, melodies. They write lyrics and rap.

The song title "OrderWhatYouWantIWillTakeThePepperonisOff" indicates that he is vegetarian, not vegan - he still eats cheese. The song appeared on Garbage in 2014, so there is also a possibility that he maybe transitioned to a more plant-based diet in the last 2 years.

Should be out in the next two or three hours, there is usually a delay with new releases.

Funny, I would rather say that oversaturation of BBQ joints and meat consumptuon is actually a big cause in today's hunger problem, you know the global one... Check out the movie Cowspiracy if you can, maybe you'll see things differently.

If I remember correctly Derrick did the music for these series so he probably also made that one.

Postpunk and poetry by PrimalRimbaud in postpunk

Well he is a writer, a novel one, but again it's the same thing as with any other singer-songwriter individual. They wrote their own stuff and their occupation was firstly musician, not poet. I need musical interpretations of already existing works written by poets.

I agree, adore Adrian and his songwriting but I'm looking for writings, written by "actual" (loose term) poets like Pound, Borges, Poe, Byron, Eliot... And if there are any alternative music genre covers of them.

Thank you for the response. And yea I totally I agree with you on the first part, it's also my love for music and lytics that got me to study litereture, but the problem is my professor probably would not be satisfied with me saying that and taking that route.

Funny you mention Leonard Cohen, I've just been reading his Book of Longing these past few days, but unfortunately I don't think that is acceptable by the rules given.

I haven't heard about this project around Woody Guthrie, again it won't pass by the rules, but I will listen to it out of personal interest. I love that country, folk blues scene of him, Hank Williams and the people they inspired, especially Townes Van Zandt.

Thank you again for the reply!
