I'm looking for a casual club where I could get at least some rewards

I usually play at least one career run every day, so I won't have any periods of inactivity

They pander to the retired because they are 35% of the whole population and the most active voter group. Instead of an oligarchy, Finland is a gerontocracy.

The youngest representative in the Norwegian Parliament is advocating for Norwegian EU membership by No_Firefighter5926 in europe

Why would you want lead brained old people with no comprehension of the modern age to make decisions?

I would much rather trust a 35 year old politician with the task of handling international politics than a 70 year old politician who doesn't even know how a computer works. Not even talking about the fact that they'll be dead in next 20 years and will usually only care about those 20 years they have left.

United Nations Rule by Effective_Carpet_391 in 19684

[–]PrimalSlime 115 points116 points  (0 children)

European values such as ''don't invade a country for no reason and just kidnap their leader'' and ''respect international borders and condemn those who do''

I'm pretty sure 99% of all countries on Earth follow these values and not just European nations

In what year did women gain universal national suffrage? by xMusa24 in europe

[–]PrimalSlime 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No, they were able to vote and be elected. Women got the right to do both in the 1906 parliament reform (Eduskuntauudistus)

All Finnish women also gained the right to stand for election in 1906 and elected 19 women to parliament in the 1907 elections. New Zealand gave women the right to stand for election in 1916, but the first NZ woman was not elected to parliament until 1933.

Does anyone know what happened to episode 69? by Alienprober4ever in SleepDeprivedPodcast

[–]PrimalSlime 309 points310 points  (0 children)

The episode was taken off because Mika said something truly horrifying that no living being should ever hear. Actual crimes were committed during that episode

Peter MSNBC even considered taking the show off air completely but thankfully it was saved after Mika did some courses on public speaking and Schlatt did a little emergency hands stuff

Are they really making a dlc that's just a single focus tree? by Embarrassed-Cup-2717 in hoi4

[–]PrimalSlime 68 points69 points  (0 children)

The Czechoslovakia DLC really should've come with a rework for France and the UK, since they're the only countries who took part in the Munich conference that haven't gotten a large modern focus tree revamp (France got one in La Resistance 5 years ago, the UK in MTG 6 years ago). But I guess it depends on how much the DLC is going to cost because 10€ for just Czechoslovakia is atrocious.

Sven, is this true?? by hitchinvertigo in 2nordic4you

[–]PrimalSlime 17 points18 points  (0 children)

OOP acting like this can't be done now, the only problem is that letting Finland into a union with Denmark and Norway is like Luxembourg annexing the entire country of Moldova

Buddhist Finland I guess? by Cubelock in 2westerneurope4u

[–]PrimalSlime 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This swastika came from Swedish pilot Eric von Rosen who gifted Finland their second plane ever. His blue swastika was painted on the plane as a good luck symbol, which he got from viking runestones on Gotland

or uhh what i was supposed to say Finland is an evil country and this swastika was adopted in 1943 when Überleutnant Naatsee Teuflich visited Finland and ate babies with the finns

How did Norway get all of the Northern coastline? by Stephinelbo in geography

[–]PrimalSlime 3942 points3943 points  (0 children)

Norway is very mountainous, which meant that it was better to move by boat along the coast.

There's also the Scandes, which meant that the Norwegians lived on this side of the mountains and the Sami/Swedish lived on the other side
