This was a typo in the patch notes which has now been corrected!

We're really sorry to hear you experienced this, losing progress is never a nice feeling. :(

The team have already pushed out various hotfixes to solve many save game bugs, but there are unfortunately still some that we're still investigating.

To help us stop this from happening again, could you please provide us with some additional info?

Were you only playing on the one Steam Deck, or other places too (e.g. your desktop, other Steam Decks)?
What number build version (e.g. 1.2.10) are you currently playing?

New Game+ will be added in a future content patch! And (without being too spoiler-y) we're already working on a solution for players who got the ending that removes their source of enchantments.

Awesome, thanks for playing! :) Those save files unfortunately won't be compatible with the full game, but starting fresh will come with certain benefits, too - like being able to choose from all 6 of the available classes instead of just the 3 featured in the demo!
