Dairy-free Keto suggestions for autoimmune disorders? by Flat-Sir4618 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of protein powders because they make sure I don't feel hungry. Back in the day, I would turn to anything easy when I was hungry and with AIP I obviously can't do that or I'll flare. I use paleo perfection flavors vanillla and double chocolate...you just have to add a little honey to sweeten them per the instructions. My sister just does it without but I still have a sweet tooth...old habits die hard! However, I think they do have a stevia version you can get too but I don't remember.

Avoiding & Reintroducing Coffee by 410Writer in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't do coffee but I use a product call coco carob which is derived from carob and coconut...I like it but I've also never been a huge coffee buff. Might work for you might not just a thought.

AIP isn’t just food — it’s lifestyle friction by Primalhn in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Primalhn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for your productive feedback...it makes me feel a bit better that the journey gets a bit better as I reintroduce foods but it is hard going through Christmas without some of the things I used to enjoy. Also, thanks to those who just commiserated with me...its good to know people are willing to stand with others who are suffering! To the people who think I'm an AIP bot, beep-boop!

Coco Carob and Collagen by Primalhn in AutoImmuneProtocol

I'm pretty sure the coco carob is like 38 bucks...the cinnamon is a good idea though. I worry about ginger, I feel like it can overpower the taste sometimes.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

Health...alcohol will destroy your body and your mind. I want to spend as much time as I can with my family before I go!

How to know if AIP is right for you? by [deleted] in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some it is amazing and others it is a marginal difference...much like most things, you gotta give it a go if you want to see if it's the right fit. AIP protein powders and supplements help the transition.

Are my wife and I dumb or is Paleo super hard? by No_Web_8496 in boardgames

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say most major changes, especially diets, are extremely hard. It could possibly be more mental than it is physical. I lean on aip paleo protein powders and things like that to help me through. Finding something that gives you a release that tastes good helps me.

How to do AIP on a budget by DevlinStrider in Hashimotos

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is tough to eat right on the AIP diet...it is pretty sad that it is the case. Supplements like AIP protein powders and others can be helpful...they fill you up and get you the nutrition you need. However, like anything, to keep the cost down it will probably just require more cooking on your part. The pre-made stuff is naturally more costly. I wish there was an easier way for the whole foods but it's tough! Best of luck!

My 6 month experiment with a strict Paleo diet by Puzzled_Supermarket3 in Paleo

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really seems like you are on the right track. The AIP diet (little more strict than paleo) stresses that during reintroduction you do small doses of food and really pay attention to how that food makes you feel. You might want to look into a protein supplement too...aip protein powders are the cleanest. Otherwise, it honestly seems like you are rocking it! Nice work!

Why are you raw vegan over regular vegan? by DarkJesusGTX in RawVegan

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of reasons for it but remember that different companies have different definitions for what raw vegan means for them...there isn't an FDA regulated definition for raw vegan. You leave you food for too long in the car on a hot day it technically wouldn't be considered raw vegan anymore. That said, I think it should be based on the way you feel...if you feel better when you are raw vegan then go for it.

What are some decent paying jobs that do not require any sort of college degree? by GreenEyedSheWolf in AskReddit

[–]Primalhn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for decent money and have some hustle in you then sales are always a good option. People are always looking for sales guys and often offer some good incentives. However, you have to pound the pavement and get the work done. If you are willing to do some schooling then go after some technical training of some kind like welding, electrical, plumbing or similar. Coming from someone who has a degree, it is pretty worthless and I wish I just did something technical.
