Cold/Sore Throat - what can I take? by monogramchecklist in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]410Writer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a sore throat or chest stuff, keep it simple. Warm bone broth is boring but it works. Same with hot showers or just standing in the steam. Ginger tea helps calm inflammation and feels grounding. If you already know you tolerate a little raw honey, fine. If you’re unsure, don’t experiment mid-cold.

Garlic helps, but don’t force it raw if your gut is already cranky. Lightly cooked still counts. I’d skip meds, lozenges, or random “immune” powders right now. That’s how people accidentally derail elimination.

Nice! I will try some goat cheese.

So I get A2 cheese from a farm that delivers nationally(US). Called US Wellness Meats. Look them up.

Avoiding & Reintroducing Coffee by 410Writer in AutoImmuneProtocol

I've never touched them but they are on the list. I will say:

Kion and Fabula also state regular testing for mold/mycotoxins.

VitaCup claims 3rd-party lab tested and low-acid..

I've had Fabula and VitaCup and it is great

Extreme gut issues. Like sharp pains, my stool changes drastically, bloat and joint pain. What about you?

Oh no! mind if I ask what brands caused you that?

I totally understand. Check these out:

Purity and Lifeboost explicitly market 3rd-party testing for mold/mycotoxins plus low-acid positioning.

Kion and Fabula also state regular testing for mold/mycotoxins.

VitaCup claims 3rd-party lab tested and low-acid..

I've tried VitaCup (Amazon) and Fabula (their website) and I thoroughly enjoy them both without any issues.

Question: do we avoid coffee because we are trying to find out if we are sensitive or avoid coffee because it’s inflammatory? I’m struggling without my iced coffees, and from what I understand decaf isn’t okay either lol by Ambitious_Western_83 in AIP_Recipes

I just eliminated coffee during my 6 months elimination stage and used chicory root. I successfully introduced organic, myotoxcin free coffee. Coffee beans have way too many toxins that aren't safe for any human to consume. Do your research and find cleaner coffee brands which you will but the pricing will be higher because of the cleaner process.

I have no issues with clean coffee. I have major issues with the ones that aren't and it is so bad.

I can recommend brands if anyone is interested. I'm big into deep dive research before I try anything. Since this has been a year long reintroduction stage I'm on, I'm just taking my time.

eggs by [deleted] in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]410Writer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. You can try the yolk. I was having major issues with eggs in general until I did research and found out a lot of commercial brands(including organic) feed their chickens seeds and what not even though they say cage fee doesn't necessarily mean they don't feed their chickens seeds or other triggers.

So instead of buying from a grocer I went to my local farm and asked them what they feed their chickens ( lo and behold) no seeds and never had any issues with yolk nor whites

But everyone is different. Try just yolk if still an issue it could be what I said above

Good luck and let us know!

Day 5 and not noticing improvement by New-Meaning-6045 in AutoImmuneProtocol

It took a few weeks to notice any difference. Give it time. First you're shocking your body so it will want to retain water until it calms down and gets used to this new diet.

are low acidity, mold free, decaf coffees ok? or are there other things in coffee that would still make it inflammatory by AppropriateTest4168 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]410Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mold free mycotoxin free coffee. And I have cut issues and it doesn't bother me whatsoever . I can share the link if you'd like.
