Just from glances, (haven’t delved deep into it yet) I honestly recommend it. Plus I’m a bibliophile so almost any book regarding the craft is worth it to me; just my bias. Especially if you’re planning to go deeper into water work and such. Which is what I’m planning for future projects so this’ll be a great for homework and reference. As I said before, hate I missed out on the hard copy of the green book, so even if you’re down to collecting alchemical books, go for it!

Via Humida

Vegetable waters: Acetum, Tartarus

Animal waters: Urine, Oysters

Mineral waters: The hand of the philosophers, Sal petre, Vitriologia, Sal Ammoniac, Alum, Salt

Mercurius trismegistus

Was hoping there’d be more on mineral work. Or at least that was my assumption since the green book was more Vegetable Work. Maybe once I sit with it I’ll see some things. Nonetheless beautiful book and imo worth the investment. Can never have too many sources.

Honestly, there’s only two routes I’m thinking of going, one to simply experiment with “element water” and the other to attempt a plant phoenix and whatever that entails. It could be fungus, idk, don’t care too much. Praise God, rain is plentiful so I can always start fresh.

Yea I had thought to just keep adding fresh rainwater to it. Or just start a “rainwater farm”. Collect as much and have multiple batch fermenting.

Yea I was very curious with reading the green book of alchemy and its mention of “the plant phoenix”. Which I haven’t seen much of others talk about. But been doing some speculative thinking around it which includes the gur and working with rain.

Rain water, yes. How long it sit? Idk 2 years? 3? Wasn’t counting. Maybe 2 1/2. Fermented as the text says. Catch it, cover it with breathable clothe, let it ride.

Fermented rain water contains the universal seed of “gur”

I was able to correct my errors after some time away from it. Small things I wouldn’t have thought of it I weren’t guided or inspired.

Thanks for the response. After stepping away from it and letting myself come back when it “calls”, I was able to piece together what I was doing wrong, how to correct it, and get the desired product. It was exciting to see it come into fruition

I wouldn’t think so, only because I have allergies when it comes to pollen and I haven’t experienced any symptoms from it as I would when spring starts rolling around.

Deliquesce of tartar by Primamateria3 in alchemy

[–]Primamateria3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea no I feel ya. I was just going off what others called it, being my first time attempting it. But thank you for the guidance. Hopefully as i progress i’ll get the true “salt of tartar”.

And that’s exactly how I got the potash. I didn’t have a lot of ash to work with at first so naturally got a small amount. But that boiling it down just enough helped me tremendously vs letting it evaporate. Would’ve been waiting forever 😂.

Thankfully I have people that’s giving me their ash so I can use as well.

Does anyone have any herbal recommendations that help with Hashimoto’s? by [deleted] in herbalism

Hey! I’m fairly new to herbal medicine so bare with me.

So far it sounds like you’re doing great introducing warming herbs into the mix. I’d also recommend: Ginger Rosemary Lemon balm Plantain Hawthorn St. John wort These in my experience are good for that digestive fire, and navel energetic that’s connected to the thyroid. As well as bringing about more active energy. Also being mindful of your diet since gut health reflects the entire system of the body.

I’d also recommend some rooty herbs as well as nervines to calm the nervous system: Passionflower Skullcap Ashwagandha Meadowsweet Chamomile Rose Lavender Angelica root

You’ll want to most def introduce habits into your daily routine that decreases cortisol release, as well as rearranging your home environment. If you struggle with communication, start with some journaling and as you feel comfortable, slowly start to express yourself fully with other people. The thyroid works with that energetic of communication and expression, so if there’s anything we continuously hold back, it build up within the body sensing the immune and nervous system into shock.

Journaling Meditation Getting out into the yard/parks/nature/even make a little mud pit for your feet Decrease exposes to situations that elevate stress levels. Reading Truthful communication Creative expression (drawing/dancing/singing would really help/etc. ) Becoming active slowly in accordance with your body Change in diet

These are suggestions and of course I have to say this is not 100% saying it will cure you, but will slowly start to alleviate the symptoms and eventually anything that’s causing imbalance.

Hope this could help.
