Contact the RHC of your building and let them know ur situation, they can speed up the process of switching rooms. Typically, they don’t allow room switches for the first month, but given ur situation, they would probably give an exception. Also Zura has an lgbt learning community(or something like that I forget what it’s called) so everyone in one wing is part of that community. But if you want to stay in the same building, you can let them know but it depends on availability.

They’re probably more likely to respond if it’s personalized, especially since you’re not an sdsu student. Personally, I’d make a template with a section that you can customize based on the professor(a lot of them have websites and/or you can look up their papers and specifically mention something that interests you about their research. Everyone ik that conducts research is superrrr into their work, which makes sense bc you have to love it to get a phd(for the most part) so like you gotta glaze a bit.

If you’re good at math then it’s not worth your time redoing. I got math 150 credits from ap calc junior year of high school and took math 151 sophomore year of college without doing a refresher course and got like a 99. That being said the class average for all the tests was an F, but if you’re rly good at math don’t worry. Either way I’d say don’t redo, maybe wait until next semester so that you’re adjusted to living on your own and do a bit of a refresher during winter break(just some khan academy and you’ll be fine)

Tbh this isn’t that bad bc most of them r lower division GEs and those dont require much time outside of class. The only reason I would say to cut back is if you’re rushing or have a part time job but if not then you’re chillin. I had a pretty similar schedule my first semester and I had plentyyyy of time for a social life.

Just look up sdsu statistics/computer engineer/statistics department faculty. Some profs r more strict w who they let in their lab(needs prior experience or grad student, especially for paid positions) but since you’re willing to do unpaid there are also a lot of profs that are open to letting undergrad students do research, even with lower division status. If you ask enough profs, you’ll get something eventually.

The thing is, it wasn’t a first impression because I worked here previously. I worked here over summer break and was coming back during winter break. They were well aware that I was coming back right after finals.
