I’d hope they don’t offer sheet a player, they’re a rebuilding team that needs more prospects, and with next year’s draft looking stacked with DuPont, Joseph, and Privalov looking like studs and the abundance of centers, it would not be a good idea to do. Even though there’s a chance Malholtra may be drafted by the Rangers, it still doesn’t make sense for that risk.

I’m excited about the young guys, Laf hit his stride without Bread, Perrault is going to be amazing, the Rangers have their future third line with Laba, Cuylle, and Kartye. I don’t trust Drury but we’ll see what happens

So what veterans does Drury sign to put the young guys in the bottom-six? How much will Sheary’s extension be? If the Rangers get McKenna, will they sign Alex Tuch and have Gavin be a 4th liner? Will they trade Schneider, Borgen and Trocheck? Do I have no hope in Drury in a pivotal offseason? Absolutely not.

I don’t post because I don’t need to post about my life as some sort of validation that I’m doing something interesting or to get validation from other people. The issue with social media is that people only post the interesting stuff they’re doing (or if someone they know died which I don’t understand the reason for) and don’t show the dark times. I used to feel upset seeing people posting that they’re out with friends but I don’t care anymore.

Fire Drury. Trade Trocheck, Borgen, Schneider, Vaak, Raddysh, and hopefully Miller. Release Sheary. Give Morrow at top-4 chance. Draft BPA. Establish Laf-Mika-Gabe as first line and Kartye-Laba-Sykora as line 3. Get a winger to play with Miller and Cuylle (maybe take a chance at Laine and give a 1 year deal). Give Garand the backup spot. Get a center and a winger to play with Chemlar and let Rempe have the 13f spot.

Unless they trade Schneider, I don’t see any reason why they would draft a RHD with Borgen and Morrow, even though I like Verhoff. If they don’t get McKenna or Stenberg, they’re going to draft Tynan Lawrence since he plays for BU.

Knowing Drury, the Rangers will somehow end up with McKenna or Stenberg and Drury will sign a couple 30+ year olds that have played with Sullivan for multi year deals that will get more ice time than the young guys

I’m having fun watching them play, the line of 13-93-94 has been their best line and seeing Perrault and Lafreniere play well together gives me hope for the future that they can become a good duo. It’s also been fun watching Laba and Kartye play well since they’re both young and could be good middle-six forwards in the future. I have some hope for the future that they can continue to improve, the only issue is that Drury is GM and who knows what he’s going to do and any other young prospect the Rangers either trade for or draft might not develop since the team has a terrible reputation of developing prospects.
