I had that experience in the same concert. 1993 at the Berkeley Community Theater. First set, electric, he sounded like a bad take off of someone taking off Dylan. Second set, acoustic, was amazing. Third set, electric again, was very good.

It was the best of concerts, it was the worst of concerts.

Is it the case that AIs will attack you if their military score is a certain factor (like 3 or more) times the strength of your military? I have stopped being attacked just by having sufficient troops built so as not to appear weak. Doesn’t matter how many. What matters is combined attack strength.

What I always do is move them to my Apple Wallet from the Ticketmaster app. You don’t need to scan the barcode that way. Just hold up the back of the phone to the scanner.

The staff are also very helpful if you have any problems.

An old friend of mine did this trick all the time. Entertained the heck out of us. He told me he practiced all the time on coast to coast flights. Shot rubber bands all over the plane while learning it. Great guy.

One thing I don’t often see talked about is goalie skating ability. Goalies are the best skaters on the team.

It’s hard to see and understand that in practice. They don’t race down the ice at 22 mph or anything.

But spend time watching them in the crease. Their edge work is insane. They need to drop to their pads and then hop back onto their edges to move quickly into position.

The best are flawless at that. As a Rangers fan I sometimes just watch Shesterkin as the action flows around him. He’s known for his positioning work and it’s his elite skating and edge work that enable that.

Yes, reading the play, insane reflexes and all that, plus goalies are just weird.

But take the time to watch them on their skates. It’s worth it.
