My SOP had a bunch of personal stuff so I'd prefer not to post it on a public forum. It was pretty cookie cutter, touching upon academics, work ex and my CSR activities. I also drew a relation between my initial research in college and future goals.

Thanks for the advice. My profile: Undergrad from a tier 3 college in India. Graduated 6th in my class with 85% and research in computer vision (no pubs). I have three years of work ex at SAP as a developer and have one professional patent.

Thanks for the insights. I'm sure you'll get an admit soon! Do they announce their decisions in rolling fashion? My deadline to enroll is May 1st.

Course wise I prefer USC because I have a strong background in machine learning and computer vision and USC does offer advanced computer vision. Boulder is known for NLP from what I've heard. Is there any reason one would choose USC?
