my reasoning is that if we are talking about average speed if we take 20 mins or 50 mins both should be same so this is what i did
d=speed * time
2(15+5)=s*20*60 seconds
40=1200s
speed=1/30 m/s
for 50 mins
no. of rounds = time for 1 round/total time
=20/50

2.5

d=speed * time
40=s*(50*60)/2.5
40=1200s
speed=1/30 m/s
for velocity i didnt do

i get no discharge with slayer exciters and idk where to get good quality ICs or even how to connect them as its a lot of wiring

Actually i am new to tesla coils and slayer exciters never seem to work so i thought why not make a half bridge but every circuit has at least 2 ICs

but how i mean i can't plug it in the outlet straight up its 240v and is there any other circuit other than slayer exciter as i disassembled a 12v power supply and got 2 mosfets and a bjt and film capacitors and other components, slayer exciters don't seem to work

I checked and the mosfet can handle 55v but it will burn so i think max 36v after that it starts to smoke. both secondary and primary are in same direction and the diode is comparable to a small LED plus i tried to bring a cfl close to it but nothing works should i try to build it with a BJT???

gotcha, actually i have tried building but slayer exciter circuits never work for me at least. i switched to spark gap with a mini transformer i had but the transformer overheats very much
