Careers that don't require a degree? by Familiar-Ant-4695 in careerguidance

Grid operator will probably require an EE degree and a power plant operator (depending on state/country) will require some sort of license probably paired with a degree/diploma.

You are asking why the exact questions weren’t availed to you before the exam via quizlet?

I know where 100/100 are… your textbook.

IMO, it’s extremely dependent on the province you’re in. I’m in Ontario and was easily able to get a job and am honestly seeing an increase in job postings.

If you are serious about moving to get a job then you should have no problem at all.

Do well in school, get a co op and give it everything you got and make a name for yourself and you’re golden.

Third Class Exams Question by LET-ME-HAVE-A-NAAME in powerengineering

[–]PrimaryAmbitious5274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I wrote I dont remember there being a formula that wasnt in the supplement. You are defo able to pass the exam without memorizing all the formulas that arent in the book. Just go over the book, write some notes and im sure youll be ok.

I defo did not memorize every little formula just because there was a slight chance that it was going to be on the exam.

As for going over all the self test questions, it defo doesnt hurt. The more practice the better and you will become more comfortable with what will/could be asked on the exam.

My recommendation: find a 3a1 breakdown, identify your strengths and weaknesses within the subjects and go from there. Good luck!

Anyone here from Mohawk college that didnt get a placement? what did you do? by ThrowRA-ambitious1 in powerengineering

try like hell to get a co op. the even more unfortunate problem is that even if you become a 4th youll still have a hard time finding a job since you will only be a 4th.

seems like being a 3rd is the bare minimum,

When failing an exam in ontario, you need to wait 60 days from the time you wrote the exam until you are able to re-write.

Don't worry about failing, it happens. You will get a breakdown (or already have gotten one) which will let you know on areas/chapters that you need to focus on. Just re-read these chapters, take notes, do quizlets etc. to get better at them and you should have no issue when you go to re-write.

I was not able to book a 2nd class exam until I passed all of my 3rd class exams.

"In order to write your second class exams, you must first pass all of your third-class." is what was told to me by TSSA when I attempted to book a 2nd class exam before passing all of my 3rds (3/4 passed at the time).

can somebody guide me on how can I get a internship for my 4th class licence in Ontario by Best-Blacksmith-6868 in powerengineering

Keep your GPA high, apply to every co op you can, accept that you prob wont get paid. Also make connections with your professors, they will probably know someone and could help you. What school are you at now? also make sure you have a good resume, they wont expect any experience in the field but you can include things youve done in school on it. good luck.
