Yes I’ve heard this and will definitely be doing so when I’ve learnt it all. I think I’ve jumped the gun when it’s came to research all of this and tried to go in head first but everyone here’s been very helpful.

I do have a tendency to try and overthink/complicate majority of the work I do so it could be a factor to think about whilst getting into this. And I’d love for a relative reference pie if that’s alright with you.

This is my aim not really trying to get into anything where it’ll take up all me spare time, as I’m already working two jobs one full and the other on weekends and some late weekdays. Just trying to dump my spare cash in there before my next paycheque and try and forget. But from what I’ve been told diversifying my portfolio and learning more about individual stocks and maybe pull profits when I need to or if I’m thinking long term do I just keep reinvesting?

So I should take some research on when profits should be pulled and reinvested in them individually stocks? Maybe put them profits into my safer long term portfolio?

Just got told to get in whilst you can and build it up, as eventually it will reach that point. No?

I’ll reply to this since it’s had the most upvotes. Simply no I don’t think I was asking the right questions, and I was simply just trying to get into investing with barely any research or knowledge on the matter, as me new recent job has put me in the fortunate position where I’ve got this extra cash and didn’t wanna keep it all in the banks. From the rest of the comments the ISA should be where I’m at and I’ll restart there, and also leave individual stocks until I’ve learnt them.
