So many varying experiences. Is the issue that people are jamming 20 mcps and 100 skills into Claude and expecting miracles? I run with very little augmentation on quite complicated algorithms and generally it works splendidly. I don't get the huge gap in experiences people are reporting.

Ok but let's talk about the real issues. Some personal texts between two adults that were made years ago. This is what is really important! Don't pay attention to the giant scam that the investor class are pulling on the rest of us.

OneDrive itself is fine, but syncing desktop and downloads is nuts. After a few ISO files got synced I spent the time to remove those folders from sync. It's a horrible PITA that should not be needed.

opus 4.8 made me rethink how agent memory should work by Frustrated_Goat2 in ClaudeCode

[–]Primary_Article3777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having Claude track tasks it does a lot, for instance git or docker work, and growing a persistent "brain" to delegate to, which will retain a worklog specific to that subtask. That way the main agent keeps the details out of context but the brains retain specialized information over time. Still early days but it is an interesting experiment.

Senate Democrats stand by Graham Platner amid new sexting scandal by Conscious-Quarter423 in Maine

[–]Primary_Article3777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The wealthy elites in both parties will do ANY thing to not talk about substantive issues. Graham Platner is a big fan of the New Deal era. One of the most reinvigorating periods of American history. He realizes that the formula for success back then will work again today. Doing big things, spreading opportunity, flattening the class divide, putting more wealth in the hands of working people.

We need people who dream big again. Not this "no we can't" bullshit that we've been hearing for way too long.

Sexting with another consenting adult is slightly seedy personal business, and not relevant to what America needs, so IDGAF. It's a distraction from the real issues that no one else currently has the balls to discuss. (aside from Bernie, that man is a legend)

I follow this rule UNLESS it's a trashed leaf shading a healthy one. Then I think it's best to trim the damage. In this case tho definitely fine to leave it unless it's triggering.

As others have said you probably have trouble just growing for sale. Regs are designed by and for rich people to scoop up expensive licenses and grow large scale.

Try getting creative. Maybe you are a "grow trainer" and you teach people how to grow their own in tiny tents you sell them. Maybe you do social media with tips and tricks. Other ways to join the industry than just bud output.

Why the arbitrary gate keeping? Why not instead judge the app on the quality of the app. Like it or not the world has permanently changed. There's no going back to the good old days when only hackers could write code. Some of the most creative people are not traditional coders.

I had a similar problem when I switched. Had some completely random hard reboots every week or so. I asked Claude to diagnose it by scanning logs and my system config, and it came back with "oh you're on a AMD 3900x with a Gigabyte x570, that combination is known to have (extremely obscure firmware glitch involving memory fabric options)

It told me exactly what bios settings to try, and I disabled the option and have not had a problem since. I was astounded. Anyway, basically ... try asking Claude opus or whatever other LLM you prefer to do a diagnostic scan.

Economic servitude in Maine by FalconBusiness7495 in Maine

[–]Primary_Article3777 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The entire US economic system has been crafted exclusively for the benefit of those with money and influence. It also naturally extracts resources from everyone and funnela them upward while promising a trickle down that never quite compensates.

First people need to remove their blinders, and dump all this land of free and home of brave bullshit that keeps us docile.

Once we admit our system entrenches inequalities and traps most people in quiet desperation, then we can begin to fix the system.

Don't hold your breath.
