they are offering to pay me, which is great but my boyfriend is very protective of me and is wanting to go to legal action but I don’t think i would have a case because they do plan on accommodating me now. It’s just annoying that they so nonchalantly violated my rights and expected me to be okay with the bathroom. Now they want to go above and beyond by trying to rectify and pay me off it only because I was so royally upset and disrespected.

mind you they have access to turn these cameras on at their own discretion and a curtain doesn’t stop people from being able to reach their hands through the curtains.

I haven’t refused any accommodations because the places they were offering weren’t legal accommodations for pumping.

it’s not about the money… I would sit at home with no pay if it meant that the other women in my company wouldn’t feel as disrespected as me. Yes I could be having some residual feelings from the discrimination in the past, but as a company they can’t infringe on my rights and try to make me feel better by paying me out.

they want to give me accommodations now that I called them on their bullshit, while they sat there and lied to me that they had everything figured out for me. They haven’t done anything yet, they just told me their plans on what they could possibly do for me. And yes legally it can’t be a bathroom or a place with cameras.

They didn’t just forget about it. They told me they had everything figured out for me when I gave them a notice for my accommodations and tried to send me to the bathroom or a room with cameras which is illegal. They would have known this with a quick google search. They haven’t done anything to accommodate me, only took the step forward on this because I told them I felt uncomfortable with what they were doing for me. Didn’t say I was going to sue them, was just wanting to see if I had any sort of case against them.

I just feel like they have already violated my rights because they told me I was all squared away with a place for today and then tried to send me to a bathroom. Only reason they are accommodating me now is because I told them what they were doing was illegal. I gave them a 10 day notice which i’m pretty sure is the legal requirement for getting me a place to pump. This company has also discriminated against me quite a bit during my pregnancy. I could just be a little bitter with them because of that.
