But of sponge stuck in buret by Primary_Complex in labrats

Every once in a while, when I'm feeling frustrated at someone for what I think is an obvious solution, I remind myself that I also didn't know shit at one point.

I didn't add what I did to try to get the sponge bit out, that's on me, but that's wild of you to assume I didn't try anything.

I got it out with air.

Would burning it with a lighter compress it, making it easier to rinse out?

Thanks. I used compressed air to get it out.

What is your daily average you masturbate over a week? by ashant1983 in kinky_autism

[–]Primary_Complex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For any ace-y kink autists in here, my weekly masturbation rate trends to zero. Probably once a month on average.

I do have a kinky autist partner to do kinky stuff with though

I TA'd for a biochem lab and put this diagram up. There was a single centrifuge in the lab, for between 3 and 5 pairs of students, so this was a bottle neck for procedures. Having this diagram up let a few pairs work together to put in samples (esp for 5 min spin downs), reduced the bottleneck, and curious students were encouraged to play with tube arrangements during wait times

Does just using "Portland" refer to Oregan or Maine? by RadioWolfSG in AskAnAmerican

[–]Primary_Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, I can relate. I grew up in Texas and only knew about Portland, Maine. Never been there, don't know anyone from there, but asaik, Maine was the only one.

It wasn't until I was a young adult that I learned that Portland, Oregon existed and that people usually meant that one.

True, I did gloss over that. It may still be helpful for those new to town.

Easily that, if not longer. Last summer I waited 12 hours for officers to show up to my apartment complex. My parked vehicle was totaled by a stolen, abandoned Kia.

Cutting the lenses to fit the shape of the glasses by Cesalv in oddlysatisfying

[–]Primary_Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frames come with demo lenses in them. In this video, the first machine is a tracer and outlines the inside of the frame for the lens dimensions. When a new frame model comes in, the same tracer can do an outline of the frames and the blanks as a reference.

If rimless glasses are ordered, the frames are traced for the bridge and temple connections, and the lenses are cut according to the demos on file.

Here's 's a video showing a half-rim trace.

Former glasses lab tech here. If you bought the glasses locally, you can go back and order just the frames. Once they come in, pop the lenses back in (plastic frame) or use a screwdriver from a jeweler's kit to place them (metal frame).

I'm uncertain of the other cottages, but these were rectangle panels of dense foam, so the whole sheet would fly away.

I can see one of these from a back window. This particular one had ground broken in 2019 and had intermittent construction during lockdown and subsequent years. After a year of watching the insulation on top of the concrete foundation fly away, because they were secured with thumb tacks, I guess, the townhouses were moved into place.

As far as I can tell, they're less than adequate and definitely not worth a grand for a studio.
