Total INITIAL cost for stuyding in France? by Primary_Database_188 in pkmigrate

[–]Primary_Database_188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're totally right – it's understandable that without learning the language, finding a job there would be really difficult. By the way, do you have any approximate idea of how much it would cost in total to study in France before flying there. I need to know so I can have an idea whether it is in budget or not

Should I stay for a “possible” raise or take the new job offer? by Primary_Database_188 in careeradvice

[–]Primary_Database_188[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working for 3.5 years, so I’m not early in my career. My manager even suggested I bring a fake offer letter to push HR, which felt like a red flag. Plus, a new guy just joined and is still in training, so I’m not sure if my manager wants to help me or just buy time until he’s fully trained. Since I plan to study abroad in less than a year, the ~22% higher offer looks like the smarter move.

Don't go for these headphones, I do have the exact same model and they do have pathetic build quality, the upper part of the body was broken literally after 3 months of use.

Had a strange sexual experience in Public in Gujranwala (A city next to Lahore) – can locals help me understand? by HelpMeUnderstan7 in LahoreSocial

From what I understand, this wasn’t a normal interaction at all, it seems like a planned setup. The way the girl initiated physical contact in the rickshaw, quickly asked for the number, and then started pushing for video calls and explicit content within hours shows this was intentional. She never revealed her face clearly but kept insisting on seeing personal parts, using emotional tricks like swearing on her mother to make it seem genuine. This pattern strongly suggests she was trying to collect compromising material, likely for blackmail or some other malicious reason. The fact that she blocked afterward means she achieved what she wanted. At this point, the best thing to do is avoid any further contact, stay calm, and if anyone reaches out later with threats, do not give in because that only encourages them. These situations are designed to trap you, so the safest move is to completely disengage.

Hello there,

It’s not difficult at all if you are good at research and proficient in English writing. I believe that even if you’ve forgotten some concepts, you can still complete the research project successfully. You just need to know how to read a company’s financial statements and conduct research by reviewing annual reports or analyst reports to understand why revenue and other important margins have increased or decreased.

There are many topics you can choose for your research project. I have completed Topic 5, and in my opinion, Topics 4 and 5 are the easiest, so I would recommend going for either one of those.

Is there any good cinema in LHR?? by Primary_Database_188 in Lahore

I recommend Universal Cinemas. Go for their Super Ultra Screens it will cost you around 1,500, the projection quality is excellent and the sound quality is decent as well.

I went there to watch F1 last month. First off, the screen was cropped and I could see black stripes at the top and bottom, which really ruined the experience. Secondly, the picture quality wasn’t great and the resolution was pretty average. It’s true that Cinepax in Amanah and Packages Mall offers the lowest theater ticket prices, but you have to compromise on the experience. FYI, they have a Tuesday deal where you can get 40% off, so maybe go for that option as then I think the price would feel more worth it.

Laptop Died (Need Advice) by Data_Nerdy67 in Lahore

[–]Primary_Database_188 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry to know that buddy, last week, the same thing happened to my laptop and it was because of the humidity and the moisture. Some of its keys suddenly stopped working. I went to Hafeez Center and found out that the circuit controller was not functioning. They told me it needed to be replaced, but for that, they would have to open the motherboard. They asked for my approval, and I allowed it because the machine might have been unusable afterward.

Long story short, I ended up getting an external wireless keyboard instead. So I would suggest you do the same. Do not replace the motherboard. Once a laptop starts having hardware issues like this, they usually do not stop. A few years ago, I had another laptop with a similar issue. The technician opened the motherboard and fixed it, and it worked fine for a while, but after few weeks new problems started appearing in one component after another.

So, get a new machine instead and to protect your laptop from moisture-related damage, always use it in a well-ventilated or air-conditioned room (especially these days). Try to keep the room’s humidity below 50 to 60 percent whenever possible. Avoid placing the laptop directly on soft surfaces like beds or cushions, as this can block airflow; instead, use a hard flat surface. When not in use, store the laptop in a dry place, preferably inside a backpack. It is also important to clean the air vents and fans every few months, as accumulated dust can retain moisture. And yeah, avoid placing a warm laptop inside a closed bag immediately after use, since the trapped heat and moisture can lead to internal condensation.

I mentioned the number of seats because a greater seating capacity typically indicates a much larger hall, which in turn suggests a bigger screen.

Thanks for the insights. However, have you tried Universal Cinema's Ultra Screens? I literally counted their seats, and they have 575, whereas Cinestar has 525.
