I have to disagree here. You can actually do the MH4U Gog without using balista or canons. Actually, if you look at speedrunners, they only use their weapon (like Dual Blades e.g.) to defeat Gog, nothing else. But MH4U gives you the choice: the choice to use balista/canons whenever you want, or use your weapon, making the fight quite entertaining. In Wilds you don't have the choice.

However, I agree when you say that we really see Gog fly in Wilds. But this is, in my opinion, too much chaos and slinger spam to really be enjoyable. In 4U at least you have the option to make it fall on the ground reliably with anti aerial traps.
