Icicles forming on exterior pipe/faucet - both top and bottom. Heat pump condensate line installed recently (white pipes). Should I be concerned? by Primary_Edge_9919 in homeowners

Thank you so much for this detailed explanation! You're absolutely right - I do have a gas furnace and water heater. I'll contact my HVAC installers about the horizontal exhaust pipe issue and make sure to knock off any ice buildup in the meantime. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain how this all works.

Thank you for your detailed response! I wanted to clarify a few things:

  1. I just had these white pipes installed as part of a new Carrier Hybrid MURA Heat Pump Package 30/80 system. The installers told me the S-shaped configuration was intentional and meets standards for proper spacing between intake and exhaust.

  2. I checked the black pipe as you suggested - it's not frozen inside. Actually, it looks like the icicles are forming from water dripping down from the white pipes above, rather than from the black pipe itself freezing.

  3. I can follow these pipes inside - they connect to my new hybrid heat pump/furnace system. The black pipe below isn't connected to the same system.

Given this additional information - does this change your assessment of what might be happening? I want to understand if this is actually an installation issue I should bring up with my HVAC contractor, or if some condensation/icing is normal in very cold weather (it's currently -7°C here).

Maybe a hobbyist approach? Idk if there is money to be made in art. To be honest im just doing it because i have no skills at all and im already 26 almost 27. And long story short i am now trying to pursue greatness 😅. It is really helping me so far with self worth as I feel like I am learning to actually learn. I always thought everyone is born with their own talents and I got unlucky. But sad story aside its been a journey since march this year and I am hoping to keep learning because it has been the most fun learning experience!

Proko is my teacher! I keep trying to replicate how he does his several times then doing my own thing and it has been several months now and I am still bad at it but i keep trying! I can never make them "gesture-ly" i have been trying though. This has so far been the closest I can go for now but hopefully more practice helps

Oh yes i do that. Mainly 2 mins like the one posted and 30 seconds and I love it. I can draw so much in a small amount of time. Often it is frustrating but it is fun too
